Died in Grove Hill (Clarke County, Alabama) on 30 ult of yellow fever, after an illness of 9 days, JAMES T. FIGURES (28 in Alabama), brother of the editor of the Advocate, aged about 29 years. One of the editors of Grove Hill Herald.... Died at residence of his brother-in-law, MR. R. J. ALLISON on 26th, DR. WM. HENRY COLEMAN (38 in Tennessee, Sumter County) aged about 42 years. Had long resided in this place and in the vicinity. DR. COLEMAN was a man of intelligence. About 2 years ago he removed to Butler, Choctaw County... leaves an affectionate wife and four children (Sumter Whig). Died in Athens on 7th, GEORGE LYNES (57 in Maryland) aged 61 years 26 days. Leaves a large family and numerous friends. November 23, 1853 Married at Church of Nativity Thursday evening, November 17, by REV. HENRY C. LAY, MR. JAMES P. COLES to MARIA PERCY (18 in Alabama), daughter of SAMUEL CRUSE, Esq. (53 in Maryland), all of Huntsville, Alabama. In Bellefonte on 16 by REV. W. H. ADAMS, MR. WM. STEWART of Somerville to MISS VIRGINIA MARTIN, of that place. Married in Guntersville on 6th by JUDGE GILBREATH, MR. THOMAS WORD to MISS MARTHA RAYBURN. Died in Columbus, Mississippi on 27th ult aged 23, MRS. MARY JANE wife of W. R. SMITH of Tuscaloosa district. November 30, 1853 Married on 15th by REV. JAMES C. ELLIOTT, MR. WM. WALTER W(ELLS) TROUP (bom October 8, 1830, died in Mississippi August 13, 1890) of Mississippi to MISS MARY E. (16 in Alabama), daughter of STEPHEN S. EWING, Esq. (61 in Virginia) of this vicinity. (ancestor of MRS. CORINNE BASKIN NORFLEET, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 1957) On the same day by REV. MR. LARKINS, MR. R. C. McCORD to MISS MARTHA TIDWELL (18 in Alabama), both of this county. Died in Madison County, Alabama 27 October 1853 MRS. JANE MOORE (72 in North Carolina), wife of EDWARD MOORE (81 in North Carolina) and daughter of BENJAMIN and ANN TYSON. She was bom 6 July 1777 in Moore County, North Carolina and with her husband and family removed and settled in Madison County, Alabama in 1822 where she remained until her death. For more than 50 years she bore the love of her husband.... Tribute of respect by I. 0. 0. F. for their beloved brother, PEYTON T. MANNING (39 in Alabama). December 7, 1853 Died at the residence of his son, COL. WM. GARRETT in Coosa County, Alabama on 20th ult, REV. WILLIAM GARRETT for many years a citizen of Nashville and Recorder of the city, aged 80 years. State of Alabama--Madison County. Court of Probate. CHARITY LEA, executrix of will of HOUSTON H.
