KEEL (28 in Alabama, wife of JNO. C.) of Clarke County. On 25 by REV. F. W. WHITE, MR. E. F. S. COLYER of Franklin County, Tennessee to MISS HARRIET S. SMILEY of Morgan County, Alabama. Married in Decatur on 8th by ELDER JACKSON GUNN, MR. LEWIS HOBART to MISS MARY SUSAN WELLS all of Decatur. February 22 1854 Married on 8 February by ELDER D. N. HALE, MR. BENJAMIN C. PEETE (19 in Alabama; son of JJfiftY.B.) to MISS JANE F. MALONE, all of Limestone County. Died on 23 December at residence of THOMAS BIBB, Esq., NIMROD FIELDER (80 in North Carolina) aged 83 years. He moved to this place 30 odd years ago and had an eventful life and was well known to all. Died on 20th in this vicinity, MR. ANDREW SIVLEY (68 in Virginia), one of the earliest settlers in this place and quite an old man. March 1, 1854 Departed this life on 10th at residence of MR. E. W. DRAKE, MISS MARY C. WORTHAM of Winchester, Tennessee after a protracted illness of one month. MARY was left an orphan for several years... Cumberland C. P. Church. March 8, 1854 Married in vicinity of Columbia, Tennessee on 1st by REV. MR. MACK, ROLFE S. SANDERS, Junior Editor of Knoxville Register to MISS ELIZA ANDERSON of Maury. On 28th in Morgan County by REV. H. M. WELCH, MR. JOSEPH G. BROWN to MISS ELIZABETH KEY (17 in Alabama; daughter of PLEASANT). On 16th by JAMES H. POOR, Esq., MR. COLUMBUS R. BLACKBOARN to MISS ELIZABETH C. VANN, all of this county. Died on 2 at residence of MR. WM. GORMLEY in this place, MISS ANN I. HALL, amiable young lady, much esteemed and beloved by her friend. Died on 3, MR. CHARLES SCHLACK (42 in Germany) after a short illness at this place, quiet and unobtrusive in his department; left an interesting family. March 15, 1854 Married on 2 by JUDGE J. G. DIXON, NELSON ROBINSON, JR. (20 in Alabama; NELSON, SR.) of Bellefonte to MISS SYDNEY METTS of that vicinity. March 22, 1854 Married on 5 at Robinson Springs, Alabama, MR. J. A. WATTERSON, Principal of Deaf and Dumb Institute to MISS CHARITY THOMAS of Barbour County both deaf mutes. Married in this place on 8th, by REV. D. K. HUNTER, DR. A. G. PICKENS to MISS EMILY C. CONNELLY (17 in Alabama), all of this county. Died on 8 at residence of her husband, J(OSEPH) C(HAMBERS) STEELE in Madison County, Alabama, ANGELINE C(ORNELIA) STEELE (30 in Alabama), daughter of ANDREW and ELIZABETH McWILLIAMS of Limestone County aged 34 years, 2 months, 2 days. She was born in Limestone, professed religion at New Garden and joined the C. P. Church. After she married, she moved to Madison, becoming a member of the church at Liberty. Left a bereaved companion and four children...her remains now lie in grave by her two children who died last year (see her tombstone in volume 76, page 89 and STEELE generation in volume 191, page 100). April 5, 1854 " Married in Chattanooga on board the steamer Chattanooga on 29th by REV. W. H. BATES, MR. J(OHN) L. McINTOSH (16 in Tennessee) of Triana, Alabama to MISS LAURA J(ANE) FARISS (14 in Alabama; daughter of DANDRIDGE) of Huntsville, Alabama. 539 - (3839)
