JOHN BRAND (37 in Virginia; married before) to MRS. MARY S. DIFFEY (34 in Alabama), all of this county. Died on 22 MR. STEPHEN S. CAYTON (38 in North Carolina) of this place. March 7, 1855 Married on 18th by MR. JOSEPH RICE, ROBERT WILSON to ISADORA COOK, all of Morgan County. Married on 28th by JAMES H. POOR, Esq., MR. JAS. BESHERS (BARSHEARS) to MISS MARTHA WILLIAS (WILLIAMS), all of this county (volume 136, page 38). Died of scarlet fever at Angola Plantation in parish of West Felicianna, Louisiana, on Thursday 25 January, LAURA VICTORIA and on Sunday the 11th February of same disease, CORINNE ADELICIA, aged 2 years 3 months. (children of JOSEPH A. S. and ADELICIA ACKLER) Tribute of respect--JOHN P. JOHNSON (55 in Virginia) departed this life on 21st aged 61 years 9 months 12 days. Maysville Lodge #158 publishes resolutions on his death. March 14, 1855 Married on 28 by REV. DR. FENNELL, JOHN D. RIVERS, Esq., to MISS MARY E. KINNIBRUGH (11 in Alabama; JOHN) of Madison County. Died in Madison County on 14 February 1855, MRS. CATHARINE HARRIS (73 in Virginia), widow of the late EDWARD HARRIS; deceased. MRS. HARRIS was in the 80th year of her age and had been for many years a member of the Baptist Church. She was an affectionate mother, a kind neighbor, devoted friend and an indulgent mistress. Having attained an age which few reach, and with the respect and love of all who knew her, she has been called to the rest which remaineth for the people of God--A Friend. Note: Her tombstone states that she died February 14, 1855 aged 77 years and a descendatn, JUDGE WILLIAM LOGAN MARTIN, Birmingham, Alabama states her age on tombstone is correct and not the obituary. March 21, 1855 Married on 14th at the residence of COL. NELSON, in Athens, by REV. I. R. FINLEY, DR. SHEGOGG of Leighton, Alabama to MRS. MARIA LEONARD of this county. Married on 10th by JAMES H. POOR, MR. ANDREW McMINN to MISS SUSAN CAMERON (13 in Alabama), all of this county (she was sister of JOHN CAMERON; volume 197, page 88; volume 145, page 26). ALEXANDER WHEELESS of Tennessee to MISS ELIZABETH T. MALONE of Athens. Married on 8th by JOHN A. JOHNSON, Esq., MR. ZACHARIAH CLARK to MISS MARGARET E. GRAY, all of Limestone County. Married on 21st by REV. DR. KIMBLE, MR. EDWARD A. G. KIMBLE (EDWIN in census; 23 in Alabama; NANCY) of Morgan County to MISS JANE H. BRUNDIDGE (15 in Alabama; JAS. M.) of Athens. April 4, 1855 Died near Aberdeen, Mississippi on 18th, LOGAN D. BRANDON, formerly of this county. Died in this place on 26th, CAPT. WM. R. HUNT aged 65, one of the earliest settlers of Huntsville and the place took its name from his father. Died in Whitesburg, Alabama on the 1st, MRS. CYNTHIA A. TORBETT (20 in Alabama), wife of MR. H.
