May 16, 1855 Married in Mobile on Wednesday morning the 25th by REV. MR. MASSEY, MR. THOMAS J. GOLDSBY, Esq. of Dallas County to MISS AGNES WINSTON, daughter of GOVERNOR WINSTON. Died, JAMES J. McCLELLAND (35 in Pennsylvania) on the 12th of consumption in his 39th year. Bom in Pennsylvania 23 September 1816, removed to Huntsville 1839. Left a wife and 2 children. Died in St. Louis, Missouri of asiatic cholera on 4th, PERCY BRECK (15 in Alabama; SAM'L C.) in his 19th year. May 23 1855 Married in this county on 10th, by REV. J(OHN) G. BIDDLE (Cumberland Presbyterian), MR. J. H. YOUNG of Winchester, Tennessee to MISS INDIE (INDIANA in census) T. McBRIDE (16 in Alabama; L. A.) of Madison County, Alabama. Died on 14th, ELIZABETH SCRUGGS, daughter of MR. J. W. and NARCISSA SCRUGGS of this place. Died in Athens, on 16th, of pneumonia, MELVINA, wife of EBENEZER JOHNSON aged about 34. Died on 13th in vicinity of Athens of scarlet fever, BREVIER N. L. (5 in Alabama), eldest daughter of JOHN A. and MARY J. JOHNSON aged 9 years 3 months 18 days. Died on the 18th in the vicinity of Athens, ALICE L. (2 in Alabama), daughter of A(LEX) L. and MARY McKINNEY aged 7 years 3 months 22 days. May 30 1855 Married on 20th by THOMAS BLACK, Esq., MR. MARKHAM G. COFFMAN to MISS MINERVA ARLEDGE (27 in South Carolina; grandparents of HENRY EARL ADAMS, Athens, Alabama 1962; grand-daughter of ELISHA BELL), all of Limestone (daughter of ISAAC? 65 in South Carolina; see volume 98, page 55). Married on Sunday the 13th just after dinner, after a short courtship of about 6 years (years or hours?) by WILLIAM C. MAPLES, Esq., MR. S. E. KENNEMORE of Pruitt's Ferry to MISS SELINA DERRICK of Woodville all of Jackson County, Alabama. Died on 14th at the residence of her father in vicinity of Triana, MISS E. BOLEYN COLLIER, bom April 8, 1831. Died on 15th after a short but painful illness, HENRY W. BRAZELTON (21 in Alabama), son of SILAS M. and MARGARET BRAZELTON of this county aged 26 years 5 months 14 days. Left a young wife and infant children. Died in Eastport, Mississippi on 13th, JAMES LANSDOWN, for many years a citizen of Morgan County. Leaves a wife and several children. June 6, 1855 Died in Fayetteville, Tennessee on 24, MR. JOHN T. MORGAN aged 70. Died on 9 May in 27th year, MRS. CHARLOTTE C. (22 in Alabama), wife of MR. FRANCIS BELL (70 in Alabama) of this county... leaves husband and 3 little children. Died in this place on 2nd, FRANK E., infant son of MAJ. and MRS. JAMES ROBINSON. June 13, 1855 Married in Macon, Georgia on 31st by REV. MR. REESE, CAPT. H. L. CLAY of Alabama and MISS CELESTE, daughter of MAJ. ANDERSON COMER of the former place. Married at Bethany, Virginia on 19th by PRES A. CAMPBELL, MR. JOHN H. HUNDLEY, formerly of North Alabama, to MISS A. C. daughter of HON. J. M. MEEK of Bethany. Also, at same time and place, by PRES A. CAMPBELL, MR. BENJAMIN F. CAWTHON, formerly of Thomaston, Georgia to MISS C. M. COLTART, daughter of DR. A. C. COLTART of Bethany. Died June 1 at residence of GOV. CHAPMAN, near Huntsville in her 13th year, JULIA FELICIA (8 in Alabama), second daughter of RICHARD 0. (30 in Virginia) and FANNY L. PICKETT (27 in Pennsylvania) of Lawrence County. Died on 21 May last in 39th year, MRS. ELIZABETH C.
