THOMAS MADDIN, MR. JOHN H. SWIFT (40 in New York), formerly of Rochester, New York, to MISS SARAH ELIZABETH VENABLE (14 in Tennessee), daughter of MR. JAMES M. VENABLE (40 in Virginia), all of this place. Married on Sabbath after 10 by REV. DR. FINLEY, MR. JOHN H. WILLIAMSON (40? faded) of Giles County, Tennessee to MISS MARTHA C. FINN of Limestone County. Married on evening of 12th at the residence of A. M. HOPSON, Esq. of Memphis, by REV. J. 0. STEADMAN, MR. WM. KENAN HILL of Memphis and MISS EMILY BIBB PLEASANTS (12 in Alabama), daughter of the late J. J. PLEASANTS of Huntsville, Alabama. June 27, 1855 Married on Thursday evening the 21st by REV. F. A. ROSS, WILLIS W. GARTH, Esq. (23 in Alabama) of Decatur, to MISS MARIA, daughter of DR. THOMAS FEARN of this place. Married in Morgan County, Alabama on 12th by REV. ZACHARIAH PARKER, MR. JOHN M. SHARP of Decatur, to MISS MILDRED C. DAVIDSON of that county. Departed this life on 7 June at residence of COL. WM. H. MOORE, in this place, MRS. MARY E. WRIGHT (27 in Virginia), wife of JOHN M. WRIGHT (37 in North Carolina; married 1844) and daughter of BENJAMIN D. HARRIS. Bom in Nelson County, Virginia educated at Staunton and afterwards removed to Madison County, Alabama. Baptist. Died in this place Friday the 22nd, MARY SUSAN, infant child of CAPT. JOHN T. and JOSIE B. PATTERSON aged 8 months 20 days. Departed this life September 29th sister MARY SUTTON (49 in Georgia; wife of PHEELAN SUTTON) bom May 20, 1802 her age was 52 years 4 months 29 days. Baptist. Leaves husband and children. Departed this life in Decatur, Alabama, Sunday evening last, EMILY, wife of LEVI SUGARS, Esq. lacking but one day of being 23 years old. July 11, 1855 Married by REV. R. A. SAMUEL HECTOR RICHARDSON (13 in Alabama), son of WILLIAM and ANN M. RICHARDSON of Athens, Alabama died in his 19th year on the 14th. Bom 10 February 1837.
