McCARTY of that place (PRENTISS PRICE says she was ANNIS, daughter of JAS. P. McCARTY and grand-daughter of WM. and RACHEL (K?LE) McCARTY). Married in this county on 20th September by REV. S. ROSBORO, MR. JOSEPH C. BUCHANAN to MISS MARY J. HAMBRICK. Married on 22nd by REV. W. D. CHADICK, DR. DeKALB LIPSCOMB to MISS MARY, daughter of COL. ELIAS WILBOURN, all of Madison County, Alabama. Died on the 4th in Parkersburg, West Virginia, MATILDA A. NASH, daughter of MR. EDMUND L. SCRUGGS, late of Madison County, Alabama. Died at his residence in Madison County, Alabama on the morning of the 11th instant after a short illness, in his 77th year of his age, JAMES IRWIN, Esq. He had been a citizen of Madison County for more than 40 years; he lived respected and died lamented by all who knew him. OSBORNE, ALBERT G. McGEHEE, Esq. of Alabama and MRS. AGNES CATHERINE VENABLE of Prince Edward County, Virginia. Married on September 20th, by JOHN R. HENDRICK, the REV. JOHN T. EDGAR, D.D. of Nashville to MRS. ANN CRITTENDEN, daughter of JOHN MORRIS, Esq. of Davidson County. Married on 27th at Beechwood at residence of COL. ANDREW ERWIN, by REV. DR. HENRY POLLARD of this vicinity aged about 30 years. October 24, 1855 Married on 18th by REV. MR. BARTEE, REV. MR. GEO. D. GUYNN to MISS ELIZA J., daughter of DR. SULLIVAN, all of this county. Note: her name was ELIZA MILLICENT SULLIVAN. Died in this place on 15th, C. C. HAMBLEN, infant son of WILLIAM M. and MARY C. HAMBLEN. October 31, 1855 Married at Christ's Church, Holly Springs, Mississippi on 4th by REV. J. W. ROGERS, GEN. H. E. WILLIAMSON and MISS DARTHULA 0. BRADFORD, daughter of GEN. A. B. BRADFORD, all of that place. Married on 18th by REV. WM. GREEN, MR. BENJAMIN F. DICKSON to MISS MARY A. GREENE, all of this county. Married on 25th at residence of CAPT. DUDLEY SALE, by REV. P. B.
