SCHAFFER, MR. ABRAM RICKS, of Tuscumbia to MISS SALLIE POPE. Died in Franklin County on 25th, WILLIAM PRIDE, an old citizen (note: 1850 census shows him aged 49, born in North Carolina). Died in Courtland on 27th, JOHN T. LECKEY aged 36 years. December 12, 1855 Married on 28th by REV. J. C. WILSON, MR. ALEX'R. S. EMBREY of Winchester, Tennessee to MISS LOUISA P. CAIN of Limestone County, Alabama (volume 223, page 56--descendant says married at residence of A. C. CAIN). Married on 29th by same, MR. WM. W. WATKINS, to MISS MARTHA M. ROWE, all of Madison County, Alabama. Married on 5th by REV. C. FOSTER WILLIAMS, MR. MATTHEW H. THOMPSON and MISS ELLEN C., daughter of W. G. THOMPSON, Esq. , all of Tuscumbia. PORTIA HILLMAN, wife of JOSEPH HILLMAN and daughter of COL. N. R. LADD. Her life had been one of continual sickness... devoted wife and daughter and sister. January 2, 1856 Died near Aberdeen, Mississippi, December ----, THOMAS BIBB BRADLEY in 27th year...(long obituary). Died in Petersburg (Lincoln County), Tennessee of inflammation of stomach, Saturday 15th, MRS. JOSEPHINE, wife of MR. S. A. SLAUGHTER aged 23. January 9, 1856 Married in the vicinity of this place on 3rd by REV. P. B. ROBINSON, MR. JOHN T. YEATMAN and MISS ANNA JANE, only daughter of the late CAPT. DAVID BRADFORD, all of this place. (1850 census shows YEATMAN aged 22, bom in Alabama; ANNA BRADFORD 17 in Alabama; her father, 61 in North Carolina) Married on 19th by REV. H. M. BONE, MR. WM. C. HALL to MISS MARTHA E., daughter of MATTHEW JORDAN, Esq., all of Maysville, Alabama. In Camden, Wilcox County on Thursday morning, the 13th, HON. ALEXANDER WHITE of Talladega to MISS NARCISSA RODGERS of the former place. (1850 census shows him aged 34 in Alabama; her 16 in North Carolina) Married in Greenville on 13th by REV. G. F. PAGE, HON. DAVID T. PATTERSON, Judge of First Judicial Circuit to MISS MARTHA, daughter of GOVERNOR ANDREW JOHNSON of Tennessee. On 3rd, by JOHN T. HADEN, Esq., MR. WM. H.
