Died on 28th of pulmonary consumption, at Oleander, Marshall County, Alabama, ELIZA HENDERSON, fourth daughter of LUCINDA and GEORGE W. HALE, Esq. in the 25th year of her age. (1850 census shows her aged 17 bom in Alabama; her father 55 in Tennessee; mother 34 in Tennessee) April 2, 1856 Died near Huntsville, Alabama, MRS. ELIZA WADE, consort of DAVY WADE in her 58th year...(long obituary). April 9, 1856 Married on 16th at 9 o'clock a.m. by HENRY W. PICKENS, Esq., MR. LAFAYETTE BURGER to MISS RENA GARNER, all of Cherokee County, Alabama (1850 census shows him aged 18 in Alabama, son of JACOB). Died near Woodville, Jackson County, Alabama on the 20th, JOHN P. HAWKINS, an old and respectable citizen. MR. HAWKINS served his country during several campaigns, and always acquitted himself honorably and left testimonials to prove this fact. (1850 census shows him aged 60, bom in Virginia) On 2nd, of pneumonia, MRS. CAROLINE CHILDRESS aged 34 years. Left five little children and a bereaved husband. Belonged to Methodist E. P. Church. (1850 census shows one RHODA CAROLINE, wife of JOHN F. CHILDRESS as aged 25) Died on 26th, JOHN EDWARD, infant son of THOMAS J. and LOCKEY T. TAYLOR aged 7 months and 24 days. April 16 ,1856 Married in Lynchburg, Virginia on 19th March by BISHOP EARLY, HON. THOMAS RIVERS, Member of Congress from Memphis, Tennessee District and MISS LUCETTA, daughter of COL. THOMAS DILARD? Married on 10th by REV. MR. SALE, MR. THOMAS LIGHTFOOT to MISS MARTHA ANN TWEEDY, all of Lawrence County. Died in Larkinsville, Jackson County, March 2nd, 1856, of croup, JOHNNIE BAINS MORRIS, son of REV. J. R. and MARTHA J. MORRIS aged 2-7-3... Died in Lafayette County, Mississippi on 21st, MR. JOEL TATUM aged about 75 years, formerly of Morgan County, Alabama. Died in this place on 7th, of consumption, MRS. ANN ELIZABETH, consort of MAJ. JOHN L. BUNCH in her 28th year. April 23, 1856 Married on 18th at 8 a.m. at Jackson Inn, Bellefonte, by HON. J. G. DIXON, MR. A. M. SAXON to MISS ELLA ACKLIN, both of Jackson County. Married on 14th at 5 o'clock p.m. at Court House by ROBT. D. WILSON, Esq., MR. S. D. BLANKENSHIP to MISS E. A. MAPLES, all of this county. Married on 6th by J. M. MEANS, Esq., WILLIAM AUSTIN to MISS FRANCES HUTSON, all of Morgan County. (1850 census shows one FRANCES HUTSON aged 16 in Alabama; daughter of ROBERT HUTSON) Married at Lewisburg, Conway County, Arkansas on 13th, DR. ROBERT T. ABERNATHY of Tuscumbia and MISS CALLIE, daughter of G. W. CARROLL, Esq. Married on 15th by SMITH ADAMS, Esq., MR. THOMAS BROWN of East Tennessee to MISS MARY ANN BROWN of this place. Died in Limestone County on 4th, MARY E. STINNETT, consort of CLAY STINNETT aged 32 years. (1850 census shows her aged 26 in Alabama; him 34 in Alabama) April 30, 1856 Married on 16th by REV. P. B. ROBINSON at W. H. WORTHAM's Hotel, in Huntsville, MR. F. A. JORDAN of Mississippi to MISS M. E. MAZARK (see later). Married on 11th by REV. SAMUEL DENNIS, MR. P. H. BONN to MISS MARY L. SPRINGER, all of Madison County. Married on 15th by REV. ALEXANDER KIRKLAND, MR. K. L. DENNIS of Courtland to MISS MARTHA A. WARREN near Triana, Alabama (not in marriage record, Madison County). Married on 17th by REV. W. D. F. SAWRIE, MR. HENRY M. FLIPPOE to MISS CALHE C. COPELAND, all of this place. (1850 census shows one HENRY FLIPPO aged 17, son of CLOEY FLIPPOE) Died on 20th of consumption WILLIAM A., third son of MR. and MRS. OLIVER D.
