ELIZA'JORDAN in Limestone County. Died at the residence of her husband on 27 September, MRS. ALMENA A. SCOTT, wife of COL. DAVID R. SCOTT. Born in Madison County, Alabama near Huntsville on 8th day of March 1816. Died on September 28, 1856 at her late residence near Courtland, Alabama, MRS. REBECCA McMAHON (67 in Virginia), widow of the late COL. WILLIAM McMAHON, in 74th year of her age. (Note: In 1850 census Lawrence County, Alabama, she is aged 67 bom in Virginia). Died in Florence on the 6th, ISAAC CAMPBELL aged about 72. (In 1850 census, Lauderdale County, Alabama; he is aged 65 bom in Scotland) Died in Lauderdale County on the 7th, WYATT COLLIER, an old and influential citizen. (In 1850 census Lauderdale County, Alabama he is aged 58, bom in Virginia) October 23, 1856 Married on 25 September by REV. JAMES A LYON, DAVID P. BLAIR to MISS BETTIE E. POPE, daughter of WILLIS POPE, SR., all of Columbus, Mississippi. Married on 9th, MR. JOHN P. GRIGSBY to MISS OCTAVIA C(LAY) REDUS, all of Limestone County (volume 223, page 64). Married in Cumberland Presbyterian Church in this place, on Wednesday evening the 15th, by REV. W. D. CHADICK, MR. SYDNEY S. DARWIN and MISS MARY A. D. LANIER. Died on 8th, MRS. NANCY M. DAVID, consort of WATSON DAVID of Limestone County, Alabama aged 45 years 7 months 21 days. (In 1850 census , she was aged 39 bom in Virginia) Died on 18th, MRS. LUCINDA R. RATHER, consort of WILLIAM B. RATHER, Esq. of Tuscumbia, aged about 50. October 30, 1856 Married in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday evening the 21st, by REV. DR. EDGAR, MR. WM. C(RAWFORD) SHERROD of Lawrence County, Alabama to MISS AMANDA, daughter of SAM D. MORGAN, Esq. of that city. Married on 15th by REV. D(AWSON) PHELPS, MR. WILLIAM B. (A.) BAUGH to MISS SALLIE GRIGSBY, all of Limestone (volume 223, page 65). Married in Triana on 14th by ELDER SAMUEL DENNIS, MR. JOHN YEARWOOD of Limestone to MISS MARY F. HERBERT of Madison. Married in Morgan County on 15th by REV. H. M. WELCH, MR. JAMES P. GORDON to MISS MATT L. HAMILTON. Married on 20th by JOHN W. IRBY, Esq., MR. WILLIAM PRESTON of Tennessee to MISS SARAH A. READ of Madison County. Died on 19th in Huntsville of a short illness in 67th year of her age, MRS. MARY ANN McDONALD, relict of JOHN N. McDONALD, deceased. MRS. McDONALD was bom in Knoxville, Tennessee on first day of January A.D. 1790 and made a profession of religion and attached herself to Methodist Episcopal church in that place when she was quite young. She removed to Madison County some time in 1843 where she resided up to the day of her death, beloved by all who knew her. (In 1850 census she was aged 53 bom in Tennessee) Departed this life at the residence of her husband, DR. WM. H. McCARGO in DeSoto County, Mississippi October 19, MRS. LUCY A. McCARGO. She was bom in Madison County, Alabama November 23rd, 1823 and was 2nd child of ROBERT and ELIZA F. PAYNE and was nearly grown when her parents removed to the State of Mississippi. She was married August 10, 1843. Note: See our Volume 64 page 6 for marriage of ROBERT PAYNE to ELIZA BROWN, 3 June 1819. She was daughter of HENRY BROWN and 2nd wife, NANCY POPE, who was said to be a sister of LeROY POPE, early settler of Huntsville. Departed this life in Madison County, Alabama on Sunday 5th day of this month, MRS. MARY ANN REEDY, consort of MR. BRYANT P. REEDY in 37th year of her age. MRS. REEDY was at the time of her death, a most worthy and acceptable member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and had been for the last 15 years. (See our Volume 76 page 19 for marriage of BRYANT P.
