Died--PETER BINFORD, youngest son of MAJ. AD. BINFORD of Lauderdale County, Alabama, who was born February 22, 1843. (Shown in 1850 census Limestone County, Alabama PETER was aged 9, born in Alabama. His father, ADDISON BINFORD was aged 58, born in North Carolina. According to Bible record, ADDISON BINFORD was bom March 1, 1792, son of JOHN MOSBY BINFORD and wife FRANCES HARDIMAN. Died on Monday the 5th instant at the residence of MR. J. J. FLETCHER, on Nubbin Ridge, Limestone County, Alabama, PETER BINFORD under circumstances deeply afflicting. He had returned after his holidays in fine health and buoyant spirits to the house of MR. FLETCHER with whom he boarded. On last Saturday evening he retired to rest in an office in the yard, which in some way unknown, took fire and ere he could make his escape, he was severely burned. Died on the 7th MRS. MILDRED EVELINE, wife of ROBT. D. WILSON, Esq. of this place in her 42nd year. Humble devoted Christian and through much bodily suffering■has entered into the Joys of her Lord. (1850 census shows her aged 39 bom in Alabama; him 42 born in Pennsylvania) January 22, 1857 Married in Americus, Sumter County, Georgia on the 12th by REV. MR. HINTON, MR. GEORGE W. DRAKE of Huntsville, Alabama to MISS MELVINA JONES of Sumter County, Georgia. Married on the 15th by REV. J. H. DRAKE, MR. WILLIAM M. LEDBETTER to MISS HARRIET E. DILWORTH, all of this county. Married on 7th by REV. J. H. DUNN, MR. JOHN H. HURT or HERT? of Limestone County to MRS. VIRGINIA MARTIN (20 in Virginia; wife of JOHN) of Franklin County. Died in Athens on Friday January 9, 1857, MR. WILLIAM KITRELL. (1850 census shows him aged 43) Died in Hempstead County, Arkansas on 14th December, MR. THOMAS LOVE of Limestone County, Alabama who was on his way to Texas. (1850 census shows him aged 46 bom in Virginia) Married on 15th near Memphis, at the residence of the bride's father (NEWTON FORD, Esq.) by REV. SAMUEL WATSON, SAMUEL RAINES, Esq. of Mississippi to MISS MARY FORD. At the same time and place by same, DR. D(REW) W(ILLIAMSON) BYNUM of Mississippi to MISS BETTIE FORD, daughter of NEWTON FORD, Esq. Married on the 11th by REV. HENRY P. TURNER, MR. COLLIN HOBBS, to MRS. CHARITY GRIFFIN, all of this county. Married on 20th by REV. JAMES C. ELLIOTT, MR. R. L. PULLEY to MISS GEORGIA STRONG, all of this county. Married on 21st by REV. DR. ERWIN, REV. JAMES R. PLUMMER of Florida to MISS LAURA, daughter of DR. GEORGE R(ANSOM) WHARTON of this vicinity (see our HARRIS & ALLIED Families) Died in Franklin County on 25th ult, WHITMIL RUTLAND in his 75th year. (in 1850 census aged 68 born in North Carolina) January 29, 1857 Married on 21st by RT. REV. MR. RANSOM, DR. F. B. HARRIS of Bellefonte, Alabama to MISS MOLLIE ALLEN of Athens, Alabama. (See our HARRIS & ALLIED Families--He was son of FRANCIS E. HARRIS of Jackson County, Alabama) Married on 22nd by REV. NELSON WRIGHT, MR. C. W. McCUTCHEN to MISS MARTHA A. WILLIAMS, all of Jackson County. Married on 22nd instant by REV. P. B. ROBINSON, A. L. HAMILTON, D.D., President of Shelbyville University, Tennessee to MISS DOLLIE M., daughter of ALOUIN EASON, Esq. of this vicinity. Married on 14th near Whitesburg by REV. ALEX. PENLAND, MR. ELISHA BELL to MISS SARAH C. BELL, all of this county. Married on 22nd, MR. R(ADFORD) W. HOBBS and MISS AMANDA J. COPELAND, all of this county. (In 1850 census one AMANDA COPELAND aged 18, daughter of BRANCH COPELAND) Died near Courtland, Alabama at the residence of his father, MR. SAMUEL W. SWOPE, only son of REV. ADGAR M. and ELMIRA C. SWOPE. MR. SWOPE was born in Courtland September 23, 1832 and died January 8 at 5 o'clock p.m. 1857 aged 24 years 3 months and 16 days. He made a profession of religion and joined the Methodist Church in 1847 and remained a member until God called him to church triumphant. Died in Huntsville, Alabama on 15th at the residence of MR. H. McANALLY, MISS CORNELIA A. HUNT in her 16th year. 575 - (3875)
