Died on 13th, MR. JOHN McKINNEY of consumption aged about 34. Died on Thursday night last, WILLIE WATKINS, infant son of MR. and MRS. WILLIAM E. SPOTSWOOD of this place. Died at Franklin Female College in Holly Springs, Mississippi on 3rd, MR. T. P. HATCH, Professor of Natural Science in 30th year of his age. Deceased was formerly a Professor in LaGrange College, Alabama and afterwards in Florence Wesleyan University. March 5, 1857 Married on 30th January by REV. J. C. ELLIOTT, MR. JOSEPH L. PENROD of Decatur, Alabama to MISS MARGARET M(ELISSA) PUTMAN of Tuscumbia. (Note: Ancestors of MRS. D. J. CONSODINE, 7708 Jarboe, Kansas City, 14, Missouri. She says MARGARET M. is supposed to be the daughter of ISAIAH and REBECCA (WELCH) PUTMAN. In 1850 census of Lawrence County, Alabama was one LADY PUTMAN aged 46 bom in North Carolina with children fairly well checking with list of brothers and sisters of MARGARET. Two were deaf and dumb, and a relative remembers that there were two deaf and dumb sisters of MARGARET.) Married on 18th by THOMAS C. BARCLAY, Esq., MR. JAMES C. HAYS to MISS ANNA 0. MOORE, all of Marshall County. Died on 25th in Aberdeen, Mississippi after illness of intense severity, MRS. N. T. SALE, wife of JOHN B. SALE, Esq. and daughter of COL. JOHN F. MILLS. March 13, 1857 Married on Tuesday the 10th ult. by REV. B. B. BARKER, MR. CHAS. C (or 0?) DRAKE of this county to MISS EMILY CROCKER of this city (from Aberdeen paper). Married in Fayetteville, Tennessee on 26th February by REV. C. D. ELLIOTT, JAMES B. LAMB, Esq., Memphis, Tennessee and MISS ELIZABETH F. , daughter of DR. WM. BONNER. Died on Tuesday morning last at the residence of his mother in this place, DR. ALEXANDER M. KELLER of Beaver Dam Springs, Tennessee in the 45th year of his age. Deceased was on a visit to his relatives, when he was attacked with pneumonia--which proved fatal in a few days (Tuscumbia, Alabama paper). Died on 26th ult, after a long and painful illness, MRS. LIZZIE ADAMS, wife of REV. WILLIAM H. ADAMS of Jackson County, Alabama. Died on 4th of consumption, DR. J. A. MORRISON, an old and respected citizen of Bellefonte aged about 53. Died at the residence of her husband near Camden, Jackson County of measles, NANCY ANN BUTLER in her 26th year. Leaves a husband and 3 infant children. March 19, 1857 Married on the 10th by H. H. HADEN, Esq., MR. WM. A. SCRIMSHER to MISS MARTHA R., daughter of NATHAN WILLIAMS, all of Madison County. Married on 11th at Goff's Notel by REV. J. R. HARWELL, MR. JOHN A. PEDEN of Pulaski to MISS MARGARET J. HAMILTON of the vicinity of Somerville, Alabama. Married at Brookfield near Lynchburg, Virginia on 25th of February by REV. MR. WILLM0RE, MR. A. L. PERKINS of near Huntsville, Alabama to MISS BETTIE W., daughter of DR. N. W. FLOYD. Died on the 6th at his mother's residence near New Market, MR. JOHN F. JAMES after a lingering illness aged 43 years. Born and raised in Madison County and died in hope. (1850 census shows him aged 35 born in Alabama in family of MARTHA JAMES) Died in Tuscumbia on 10th after a short illness, WILLIAM B. RATHER in the 56th (or 50th?) year of his age. Among oldest citizens of the town. March 26, 1857 Married on the 12th by REV. WILLIAM H. ADAMS, MR. THOMAS A. CAPERTON to MRS. HARRIET J. OLIVER, all of Jackson County. Died at the residence of her husband, B. B. ROGERS, Esq. in Madison County, Alabama on 16th, MRS. ONEY M. ROGERS aged 62 years 9 months 2 days. Born 14 June 1791 in Pittsylvania County, Virginia and was the daughter of ALLEN and MARTISHA STOKES. Member of M. E. Church. (1850 census shows her aged 56 bom in Pennsylvania) 577 - (3877)
