Died on 15th February at his residence near Marshall, Harrison County, Texas, WILLIAM A. ADAIR aged 35 years. He was son of the late JUDGE ADAIR of 5th Circuit. He was formerly a citizen of Athens; read law under JUDGE COLEMAN. Married in 1844 (married in Limestone County 1 June 1843), OCTAVIA ISABELLA, 2nd daughter of the late JOHN N. S. JONES. Removed to Texas in 1849. (see marriage record in Limestone County, volume 187, page 40) Died on 19th in Bellefonte of apoplexy, NELSON ROBINSON, JR. aged about 27 years. Died on 15th ult at the residence of her busband in Florence, Alabama, MARY SUSAN, wife of W. L. LORANCE, Esq. and oldest daughter of WILLIAM WATKINS, Esq. of Huntsville, Alabama. RUFUS HARWELL, Pastor of the Methodist Church, Tuscumbia, Alabama, to MISS ANN L., daughter of JOHN HUFF, Esq. of Nashville, Tennessee. Died in Decatur on the 15th at half past 4 after a short illness, SOFRONIA LOCKE, wife of W. G. LOCKE in her 32nd year. (she was SOPHINA WILDS, married January 1846--see our volume 49, pge 63; 1850 census shows her as aged 27 born in Tennessee, wife of WILLIAM G. LOCKE; see page 73 for death of their infant) April 9, 1857 Married on 29th by REV. W. H. ADAMS, MR. JOHN CUNNINGHAM to MRS. ELIZABETH DICKSON, all of Jackson County. (Note: She was evidently the widow of JOHN G. DIXON, who died in 1856) Married on 25th March, by JOHN W. IRBY, Esq., MR. JOHN WICKS to MISS MARTHA A. FOWLER, all of Madison County. Married on --- instant by B. STEGER, Esq., NATHANIEL JENKINS of Giles County, Tennessee to MISS NANCY M., daughter of CASWELL B. DERRICK. Died on Sunday morning last in this place after a lingering illness of several months, MRS. ROWENA HUDGIN, wife of MR. WESCOM? HUDGIN, and daughter of REV. DR. ROSS, Pastor of the Presbyterian Church, all of Huntsville. (volume 113, page 31; deed of gift from FREDK A. ROSS for love and affection--to grand-child THEODOSIA TEMPLE "only child of my deceased daughter ROWENA HENGEN, formerly ROWENA TEMPLE; if she died without heirs, then to my son CHARLES G. ROSS--8 February 1858--DB BB page 348.) Died near Bellefonte on 24th March of inflammatory pneumonia, MRS. MILLEY WILSON, wife of MAJ. THOMAS WILSON of Jackson County. Died in New Orleans of dropsy of the head, WILLIAM W. THOMPSON aged 22 years 1 month 1 day. Died at Athens, Limestone County on Saturday afternoon of 28th March, LAURA HUSBANDS aged 8 years 4 months. Also at same place on Saturday morning, the 4th, ELIZABETH PALMYRA HUSBANDS aged about 15 months. They were the oldest and youngest children of REV. WILLIAM R. J. HUSBANDS of Tennessee Conference and grandchildren of MRS. ELIZABETH ACKLEN of the vicinity of this place. (Note: see our volume 147 page 58 for marriage of WM. R. J. HUSBANDS to CHRISTIANA B. ACKLEN 1 September 1847. She was daughter of SAMUEL BLACK ACKLEN and wife ELIZABETH HUNT, and granddaughter of JOHN HUNT, for whom Huntsville was named) April 16, 1857 Died, MRS. MARTHA ANDERSON, daughter of THOMAS and ELIZABETH CHAPPELL. Bom Sussex County, Virginia 15 June 1778 and died at Athens, Alabama at DR. STITH MALONE's April 6, 1857. A member of M. E.
