RUSSELL of Louisiana to MISS MOLLIE S., daughter of ROBERT BLASSENGAME, Esq. of Lawrence County, Alabama. Died on 26th in this place after a lingering illness, JOSEPH N. KENNEDY aged 82. Married on 25th by JOHN W. COMPTON, Esq., G(EORGE) W. LENTON and MISS MARTHA CROWLEY, all of Lawrence County. Married in Limestone County on 26th of November by JOHN A. JOHNSON, Esq., PLEASANT A. PEACE to MISS FRANCES E. CHRISTOPHER. Married on 26th of November by JOHN A. JOHNSON, Esq., MR. P(HILIP) G. GILL to MISS MARY L. S. CALVIN, of Limestone County. Died on 4th of November at the residence of her father in Morgan County, MARTHA L. GORDON, consort of JAMES P. GORDON, aged 21 years 4 months 28 days. Died in Meridianville on the 8th, MISS MARY FANNIE, daughter of MR. and MRS. BOYLE P. HUMPHREY (Bible record) aged about 19. December 7, 1857 Died in this place on 10th, MRS. NEELY, wife of R. L. NEELY. Died in this place on 8th, THOMAS LEONARD. (1850 census shows him aged 35 born in Tennessee) Married in this vicinity on 1st by REV. P. B. ROBINSON, MR. THOMAS RUTLEDGE to MRS. FRANCIS A. BAILEY, all of this county. Married on 6th by REV. P. B. ROBINSON, MR. CHARLES F. RALEIGH of Lawrence County, Alabama to MARY A. FRENCH of Decatur, Alabama. December 24, 1857 Married on December 10th by HON. W. T. HAWKINS, M. J. M. HORNE and MISS MARY H. REED, all of Florence. Married on 15th by REV. MR. DAVIDSON, MR. M. M. SLAUGHTER, editor of Talladega Democratic Watchtower to MISS ELIZABETH CALLEY of that county. Died in Meridianville, Alabama December 8, 1857, MISS MARY FANNIE, daughter of MR. and MRS. BOYLE P. HUMPHREY aged 17. Died on 14th instant near New Market of consumption, JOHN T. JONES, a respectable citizen of this county. (Note: This is JOHN TANNEHILL JONES, born November 16, 1814; Bible record says died December 15th, 1857. He was son of GEORGE TANNEHILL JONES and wife REBECCA CAMPBELL BROWN. ) Died on 8th, COL. ELIAS WILBURN, an old and respectable citizen of this county after a protracted illness. (1850 census aged 54 born in Georgia) Died in Nebraska Territory on the 5th, MR. WILLIAM L. PARKER, formerly of this place aged 24 years. Promising young man. Died at his residence in Franklin County, Alabama on 14th of October 1857 after an illness of 13 days, of pneumonia. WILLIAM H. ALS0BR00K in the 50th (or 60th or 30th, not clear) year. Died on 13th in Lawrence County, DR. JOHN H. MASSIE. Native of New Kent County, Virginia. His parents removed to this county when he was a child. Here he grew up, studied medicine and was a practicing physician up to the time of his death in 50th year of his age.
