Church South died at his residence in Richmond, Virginia last night, 27th, after protracted illness. Born in Lancaster County, Virginia 1810. His father was worthy member of the Bar of that county (New York Herald). February 1, 1884 Died January 27, 1884 after a brief illness at her residence in Limestone County, Alabama, MALINDA ROBINSON HUNDLEY, relict of the late DR. JOHN H. HUNDLEY being nearly 80 years old. She was born in Greenville County, Virginia April, 1804, the only daughter of DANIEL ROBINSON, a most respectable merchant and planter of that county and state. After her marriage in 1824, she came with her husband to reside in Alabama, where she has had her home ever since...(Greensville County, Virginia marriages by Know born September 1824 JOHN H. FARISS, an old and valuable citizen of this city in his 74th year. Born in Amelia County, Virginia. Early schoolboy days were spent near Courtland, Alabama (Lawrence County) and he came to Huntsville in 1826 and worked in the Southern Advocate Office with his brother, DANDRIDGE FARISS. He married MISS KATE WILSON in 1835. For awhile resided in Mobile, Alabama but afterwards moved back to this city and became engaged in the drug business with the late GEORGE W. NEAL. To his aged companion, consolation and to her child and grandchildren. February 29, 1884 At Green Pond, Lawrence County lives MR. JOSEPH ELKINS (59 in Georgia), who was bom in Wilkes County, Georgia on the 29th day of January, 1791, consequently he is over 93. He moved to Madison County in 1817 living 1 mile north of Hazel Green four years when he moved to Lawrence County. In 1821 he killed three bears in one day. He has seven girls, two boys, 46 grandchildren, 89 great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren. March 7, 1884 Died at her residence in Huntsville on Saturday night March 1st of pneumonia, MRS. INDIA TEAGUE, 46 years old. March 21 1884 Died Saturday at 8 a.m. March 15th at Denver, Colorado, J. C. GREENE, Esq., formerly a well known citizen of Huntsville aged about 26. March 28, 1884 Died February 14th, OTHNEL RICE at his home about 4 miles of New Market on Hester's Creek, aged 88 of erysipalis. Was one of oldest •and most highly respected citizens of Madison County...Mason...had been Tax Assessor of Madison County and J. P. for 20 years. Raised 10 children, living to bury them all. His wife died about 6 years ago. April 4, 1884 Died at her home on Holmes Street March 31 of typhoid pneumonia, MISS LULA PANKEY, daughter of MRS. W. J. PANKEY. May 2, 1884 Died March 10th at his home near Brownsboro, OSCAR J. HARRIS in his 58th year. Left his widow and orphan. May 30, 1884 Died--WALTER S. BARRATT. Born in England in 1842, emigrated to America and located in the state of New York in 1871. Was happily married to MISS RUTHA E. BAKER in 1872. Died in Huntsville April 30th leaving his wife and a little daughter. Died at Florence, Alabama Saturday May 24th, JUDGE T. H. LOGWOOD, formerly of Memphis, late of Austin, Texas.
