PENLAND-COOPER CEMETERY (7) LOCATION: Section 20-5S-1W. NW SE NW. Redstone Arsenal. Behind a beautifully kept antebellum mansion on Buxton Road. PENLAND, ISABELLA J. - In Memory of Isabella J., daughter of Rev. Alex & I. J. Penland. Died December 16, 1856 aged .... (stone broken & age illegible).. Suffer little children and come unto me. Note: Alexander Penland -M- Isabella J. Allison, the daughter of David Allison and Sarah (Smith) Allison, on July 30, 1850. The above Isabella was their child. NOTE: The stone of James Cooper used to be in this cemetery but is not there now. It has either been destroyed or carried away. James Cooper died December 7, 1834 aged 42 years. He was the husband of Charity Cooper who was a sister to John Allison. LYNCH CEMETERY (7) LOCATION: Section 20-5S-1W. NW SE. Redstone Arsenal. On the north side of Boxton Road. LYNCH, FANNIE M. - In Memory of Fannie M., daughter of John M. and Nancey Lynch, born December 14, 1846, died February 12, 1868. Love are the paths and sad the bowers, Whence thy meek smile is gone, but Oh: A brighter home than ours, in Heaven is now thine own. NOTE: This was the only stone in this tiny, fenced family graveyard. Fannie's stone was a marble upright. There may have been others buried here in unmarked graves.
