Father. ) KOGER - Lucy Koger - Aug. 7, 1895 - June 21, 1960 MATTHEWS - William Joe Matthews - Feb. 20, 1892 - Aug. 21, 1970 Obituary: August 21, 1970, from The Huntsville Times: " A funeral for William Joe Mathews, 7 78, Rt. 2, New Market who died this morning at Big Springs Manor Nursing Home, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hurricane Primitive Baptist Church with Elbert Yeager and Gene Gaught officiating. Burial will be in Taylor Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Louise Kennedy of New Market and Miss Mary Mathews of New Market, one grandchild and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be H. B. Martin, Raymond Johnson, Billy Allen, Grover Allen, Thomas Guthrie and A. L. Kennedy. The body will be at the funeral home until an hour before the funeral. MATTHEWS - Minnie T.
