Foster Cemetery PRUETT - Mary A. Pruett - Born Dec. 6, 1821 - Died Oct. 15, 1908. Note: Mary A. Otey -m- V. G. Pruit Feb. 8, 1855 (MB-4B) SNEED - Sallie Ann Sneed - Jan. 25, 1849 - Dec. 7, 1935 SNEED - Herman C. Sneed - March 9, 1880 - March 15, 1919 SNEED - I. C. Sneed - Nov. 5, 1876 - Died June 10, 1882 ??" Note: There were three unmarked graves in the Sneed plot SPRAGINS - Lucy C. Spragins - Born July the 18th, 1821 - Died Dec. the [1st?] 1846 aged 25 years, 6 months and ? days. (Illegible). Note: Lucy C. Crutcher -m- Thos. E. Spragins Jan. 8, 1840. After Lucy's death Thomas E. -m- Mary E. Pettey on April 29, 1847. (See Pettey-Spragins Cemetery on Page 80. -End Foster Cemetery- STEELE CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 3-1-2E - NE NW SW SW. Located at Steele Crossing on Winchester Pike approximately a quarter mile north of New Market, Alabama, on east side of road in clump of trees. STEEL - Lula May Steel, Born Dec. 31, 1903 - Died July 28, 1917 age 14 years and 7 mo. Sleep on sweet babe, and take thy rest. God calls away when he thinks best. STEEL - Catharine Steel - Born Jan. 8, 1836 - Died Feb. 25, 1911. Our mother is gone but not forgotten. Note: The above two graves were set apart somewhat from the rest of the graves. Note difference in spelling of name. STEELE - Archibald J. Steele (Rev.) - Born May 10, 1800 - Died Nov. 9, 1887. ) ) Dbl. STEELE - Mrs. E. B. Steele - Born May 1, 1804 - Died Nov. 26, 1883 ) Note: Madison County Death Records show one Elvira Steele who died of bronchitis on November 16, 1883 aged 81 and who was born in Tennessee. STEELE - Frank J. Steele was born March the 11th, 1858 - Died July the 16th, 1868 STEELE - Joseph R. Steele - Son of J. C. & M. S. Steele, born March 21, 1858 and Died Nov. 22, 1909. STEELE - Miss M. K. Steele - Born Nov. 5, 1837 - Died May 2, 1903 STEELE - Miss N. E. Steele - Born Oct. 14, 1839 - Died Nov. 3, 1904 HAMILTON - James W. Hamilton, Son of J. P. & M. D. Hamilton, born June 29, 1880, Died Aug. 22, 1880. WEDINGTON - Sarah A. Wedington, Born Sept. 20, 1830, died July 3d 1861 aged 31 years, 2 months, & 17 days. Daughter of Rev. A. J. & E. B. Steele. WEDINGTON - Infant son of A. B. & Sarah Wedington, born June 27, 1861 - Died July 22, 1861. NOTE: There were several tombstones in this cemetery that had simply crumbled away to dust. 98 - (702)
