LOCATION: Section 3-1-2E. S/2 SE NE - Behind home of Mr. Fanning. A lifelong resident of this community, Mrs. Effie Simmons Shelton, told me in November, 1973, that she thought this cemetery might be either the Harris Cemetery or the Spurlock Cemetery but she did not know who was buried there. When she was a child she had attended school very near this cemetery and the children often wandered into the cemetery. It has apparently been gone many years. The 1850 Census shows two Harris families living in that immediate area. Census, November 12, 1850 Harris, James Elizabeth 25 30 Ala. Farmer Ga.
