FANNING CEMETERY
LOCATION: Section 13-1-2E - W/2 S/2 NW NE - In Fitch Hollow - Several hundred yards into the woods off the end of Mountain Fork Road.
This cemetery is on the side of a mountain and quite far from the road. I made the long walk back to it only to find a stone-covered grave with no markings or lettering. The grave appeared to be very old. Mr. Sanford R. Fanning of Elora, Tenn, said he didn't know who was buried here but did not think there were any Fannings in this cemetery.
I was told by Milton B. Fanning's half brother that Milton B. Fanning and his wife, Laura E. Fanning, have a baby buried there. Milton B. (Jr.) is buried in the Taylor Cemetery (See Page 86) along with his wife.
