Note: Mrs. Pauline Jones Gandrud kindly supplied the obituary on W. N. Davis:
The Huntsville Argus, August 17, 1893: "Died on Sunday, August 13 Mr. W. N.
Davis. Mr. Davis died at his home in New Market of typhoid fever. At the funeral
of Dr. Taliaferro he was a pall bearer. The deceased was about 65 years of age.
He served as Tax Collecter one term. He was a member of the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church, a fond husband, gentle father. The remains were laid to rest
in the family burying ground in New Market in the Graveyard Hill Cemetery."

DAVIS - Samuel Davis died August 31, 1842 aged 88 years. (Note: He was a Revolutionary War vet.) see sketch above.
POOR - Moses Poor. [Note: I could not locate a tombstone for Moses Poor, however, according to
Valley Leaves (vol. I, p. 88) he was a Revolutionary Soldier buried in this cemetery.]
