LOCATION: Section 5-2-2E - NE corner of the section. In New Market, Ala., on Jacks Road
WHITMAN - William Fenno Whitman, Born in Halifax County, Va., March 27, 1809, died at New Market, Ala. March 10, 1888. He was an earnest Christian, a kind and devoted husband and father, and no appeal to his charity was ever in vain; he loved his neighbor as himself.
WHITMAN - Dorothy Jones Whitman, wife of W. F. Whitman, born 1815, died January 31, 1890.

LAWLER - Texie M. Whitman, Wife of John Lawler, born J-n. 5, 1845, married March 27, 1877, Died January 4, 1878. [Note: Due to weathering it was impossible to be sure if her birth months was January or June.]
WHITMAN - Ann B. Whitman - Born May 11, 1811 - Died Feb. 26, 18.. . (stone chipped away)
WHITMAN - Unity Whitman - Born May 18, 1830 - Died May 1, 1858
WHITMAN - Sarah K. Whitman, Born in Salem, Mass. April 3, 1772 and died at New Market, Alabama, May 6, 1863.

JILES CEMETERY
LOCATION: Section 5-2-2E - SW NW. Located in a pasture under a lonely tree on outskirts of New Market, Alabama on the north side of Coldman Road.
JILES - Nancy Jiles Was born in Pittsylvania Ct., Va. November 25, 1784, Died Sept. 28, 1856.
Note: There were indications of many unmarked graves here, or if they were ever marked the stones are now gone.
