JONES-MITCHELL-HADEN CEMETERY
LOCATION: Off Coldman Road southwest of New Market. Section 6-2-2E - SW NE SE.
Note: There were numerous sinks indicating unmarked graves in this spot. At one time this cemetery covered a large area but a previous land owner cleared the land, disk it and in so doing destroyed most of the markers. Only the following five are left and they are piled together.
JONES - In Memory of Martha F. Jones - Died August 18, 1863. Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. [Note: No birth date. Cement obelisk stone]
JONES - In Memory of Susanna M. Jones - Was born Sept. 30, 1860, died August 9, 1863. [Note: A sandstone obelisk marker]
HADEN - Anthony W. Haden, Born August 17, 1808 - Died May 3, 1864.
[Note: A sandstone obelisk marker. Anthony W. Haden was the son of Robert D. Haden.]
MITCHELL - Daniel Mitchell Born January 20, 1798 - Died Aug. 8, 1854 [headstone]
MITCHELL - Francis L. Mitchell - Born June 8, 1847 - Died Aug. 10, 1856.
[Note: This headstone was broken into many pieces and it is doubtful that it will survive much longer.]
