JACKS CEMETERY (Checked 4-29-1978) LOCATION: Section 4-2-2E - N/2 N/2 SW. Located on a hillside under a beautiful beech tree that much be hundreds of years old. On Jacks Road leading southeast out of New Market. JACKS - Ellena B. Jacks - 1836 - 1919 ) William P. Jacks -m- Ellena Bayless ) Dbl. June 30, 1853 (MB-4A) JACKS - William P. Jacks - 1828 - 1888 ) Note: There are 14 above-ground rectangular stone tombs in this cemetery but if any of them ever had any lettering on them it has long since weathered away. Family descendants told me that Ellena and William had two daughters buried here but did not say which ones. Census, Nov. 12, 1850 Jacks, David 54 N. C. Baptist preacher - $1000 Rachael 54 N. C.
