WOODALL CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 11-2-2E - S/2 NW SW - on west side of Hurricane Road. WOODALL - Mother. Susan H. Douglass, wife of W. P. Woodall. July 8, 1837: Aug. 15, 1882. Mourn not for me it is in vain to call me to your sight again. Note: This lone marker was of marble and had fallen from its base and was leaning against the base. Woodall Feb. 15, 1866 (MB-5) -m- (2) Bettie Power April 1, 1867 (MB-5) MASSENGALE CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 15-2-2E N/2 NW NE across Hurricane Road southwest from Cedar Grove Church in clump of trees in a field. MASSENGALE - In Memory of Mahala Massengale, Born Sept. 21: 1823, Died Aug. 6: 1846, My peace is made, All is well: I'm going home, With Christ to dwell. Note: Mahala Massengale's upright tombstone was partially encompassed by a huge old tree growing out of the center of her grave. The pressure from the tree has cracked the base of her stone. At the foot of Mahala's grave is an adult's grave marked only with unlettered fieldstones. SISCO - Zech W. Sisco was Born March th 24 1814, Died Jan. th 28 1844. Note: This is Zachariah W. Sisco. His tombstone was a hand carved fieldstone. All the "S's" were reversed in the Sisco stone and the Massengale stone. See Sisco census below. There were many unmarked graves in this nearly quarter acre plot. Nov. 2, 1850 Robertson, Jno. A. 37 S. C. Farmer - $1500. Jane 75 S. C. Sisco, Margaret 39 S. C. Margaret E. Robinson -m- Zachariah W. Sisco Dec. 8, 1835 (MB-4) Sarah 7 Ala. B. O. 5 " Note: After Zachariah's death Margaret E. married Matthew Massingale on Jan. 26, 1853 (MB-4A). Matthew may be the "M. Massengale, age 28, born in Ala., a school teacher living with the Mary Daniel family" in the 1850 census of Nov. 20, 1850. 186 - (790)
