ANDERSON-CAVETT CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 9-2-1E. Center of the SW/4. 1/2 mile east of McCullom Road in woods. ANDERSON - In Memory of Garland R. Anderson, Born Goochland Co., Virginia Nov. 28, 1797, Died July[?] 7, 1854. Note: This was a box tomb that had weathered and it was extremely difficult to read. Garland Anderson's Will was dated July 5, 1854. It mentioned wife May C. Anderson, dau., Octavia A. Anderson, and grandson Robert Bruce Cavett. ANDERSON - In Memory of Mary C. Anderson - Born April 29, 1799 - Died June 22, 1891. [Marble upright headstone] BRONAUGH - In Memory of Cyrenia M. Bronaugh, Born July 3, 1815 - Died Sept. 2, 1893. [Marble upright headstone] Note: One Cyrena Tipton -m- William Anderson Nov. 8, 1836 (MB-4) CAVETT - In Memory of Sarah Mildred Cavett, wife of Robert A. Cavett, ) Daughter of Garland R. & Mary C. Anderson, Born on the 21st ) Robert A. Cavett -m- June, A. D., 1828 and Died on the 29th July A. D., 1850 aged ) Sara Mildred Anderson 22 years, 1 mo. & 8 days. ) Feb. 18, 1847 (MB-4A) Back; She died as she lived, in the faith of the gospel. ) Note: This was a tall, obelisk stone. Anderson, Lisc. Dec. 9, 1866. The 1850 census shows Octavia, age 13, born in Ala., as living at a boarding school run by P. T. and Ann Henderson [See Page 236.] HYMAN CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 9-2-1E. SW NE SE. In a grove of trees a few yards northwest of the Flint River Baptist Church and cemetery. HYMAN - Sarah Williams Hyman was Born October the 29th 1797 and died the 11th of May, 1860. HYMAN - Eahs[?] Ann Hyman was born the 6th of June, 1826 and died the 23rd of March, 1844. Census, Nov. 16, 1850 Hyman, Reddie 57 N. C., Farmer - $800 Sarah 53 N. C. Charles 25 Ala. none Ford, Martha 26 " Note: The above stones were two of the most difficult stones to read I ever attempted. Eahs could have been "Enas" or almost anything. Dr. and Mrs. Ezell Terry read the stone as "Mary Ann Hyman." These were box tombs and were terribly weathered. 239 - (843)
