BLANKENSHIP CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 28-2-1E - NE SE NE. These graves are located on a small hill behind the home of Mrs. Odie Walker on Moores Mill Road. The white Blankenship family members are buried on property belonging to Mr. Jim Hix and the Negro Blankenships are a few yards south on the property of the Walkers. BLANKENSHIP - William F. Census, Oct. 29, 1850 Jones, James S. 49 Va. , Farmer - $10,000. Province, Asbury 19 Va., " JONES - In Memory of Albert H. Jones born September 9, 1816, died August 30, 1839 JARRATT - Alexander Jarratt, Born in Gouchland Co., Va., February 22, 1789, died in Madison Co., Ala. September 21, 1853. JONES - In Memory of Mary O., daughter of W. M. [Wm. ?] & Maria Jones, Born April 12, 1838, Died May 2nd 1838 JONES - In Memory of Robert J., son of Wm & Maria Jones born January 7, 1834, died May 2, 1834. TERRY - In Memory of Agnes W. Terry, consort of Nath Terry, born June 7th 1806, died Nov. 20th 1825, Aged 19 yrs., 5 mo., 13 days. JONES - This monumental tomb is erected by his affectionate children to perpetuate the memory of the life of Major William Jones who departed this life September the 9th 1832 aged 52 years, the deceased was a native of Virginia. He moved to this County in 1818. He was severely ill before his death which he bore with solitude and manly patience... this man.. .home... and bid me place in the memory of all who knew him.
