LYNN CEMETERY LOCATION: Unknown Benjamin Lynn and his wife, Hannah (Nee Severns or Sovereigns) moved to Madison County, Alabama, in 1810. They lived with their daughter and son-in-law (John Chisholm [Chism] and Ester (Lynn) Chisholm. John Chisholm owned the SW/4 of Section 30-2-1E and it is possible that Benjamin and Hannah are buried there. Meridian Pike edges this property on the west and businesses have grown up along the highway [now Highway 231/431]. According to The Filson Club History Quarterly, Volume 20, Page 156, Lynn "organized a Christian Church near Huntsville, and it was in the churchyard there that he was buried in December, 1814, in the sixty-fifth year of his age. His wife had died in the proceeding May." Benjamin Lynn married Hannah Severns July 9, 1777.
