PERRY CEMETERY LOCATION: On Bice Mountain (also known as Coal Mine Mountain) in the NE SW NW of Section 8-2-3E. We were taken to this cemetery by Messrs. Rex Moore and Danny Sharp in Mr. Moore's jeep. This cemetery is in Jackson County, Alabama. MOON - In Memory of Harriet, wife of R. W. Moon, Bornd. Dec. the 14, 1855 & Died. May 31, 1895 Age 40 years & 5 Mo. A loving wife, a mother Dear, a faithful friend Lays Berried here. [Note: I was told by a family member that Harriet was the first wife of Bob Moon.] PERRY - In memory of Benjamin T. Perry, Son Of Isaac F. & Martha A. Perry. Born Sept. 28, 1889, Died Nov. 21, 1889. Age 1 Months & 23 Days. PERRY - Sacred to the Memory of Elisabeth Perry, wife of John H. Perry. Born June 26, 1841 & deceased Sept. 6, 1887 Age 46 years, 2 months & 10 days. Rest my love, beneath the sod, Till you and I shall, Meet with God. Note: There were four rows in which I was able to count eleven unmarked graves or graves marked only with unlettered fieldstones. Nine of these graves were childrens' graves and two were adults. One of the adult's graves had the following scratched on a fieldstone: May 1, '99 This is undoubtedly a death date and I was unable to determine who was buried there. Since the Madison County death records for that year are missing I was unable to correlate that date with a name. BICE CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 12-2-2E in approximately the SE NW, on Bice Mountain near the peak of a mountain referred to as "Cagle Point." There are no lettered tombstones in this cemetery and I do not know who is buried here. SIMS CEMETERY LOCATION: Section 31-1-3E in the center of the NE quarter on the peak of Big Hill. There are no lettered tombstones in this cemetery. I do not know who is buried here. 318 - (922)
