Herman Hunt's Honor Flight Thank You Note

I am Herman Hunt (80 years old).

I spent 33 months in New Caledonia and Guadalcanal during the war.

After we returned from Guadalcanal, Bob Hope appeared in New Caledonia in front of around 15,000 servicemen. Also appearing with Hope was Francis Langford, Jerry Colonna, Patty Thomas and Tony Romano.

I really appreciated Bob's appearance. I've always wanted to thank him. He mentioned the pink house which all the service men knew about. This embarrassed the nurses who were present. He and Jerry acted out some skits.

PS. I also saw Joe E. Brown, Martha Raye, Artie Shaw, Jack Benny, and Ray Bolger.
