Frances Cabaniss Roberts Collection

Dr. Frances Cabaniss Roberts was a descendent of early Huntsville settlers and a long-time resident of Huntsville where she was a prominent local historian, history teacher at Huntsville High School, and one of the first faculty members at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. This extensive collection (90,000+ images) reflects the education, social, religious, musical, and literary life of Huntsville.

The Collection 114 Linear ft. Includes a total of 156 Archival Boxes. The Frances Cabaniss Roberts collection covers the historical records of the Cabaniss Roberts family. This collection contains extensive correspondence records of the Cabaniss Roberts family circa 1830 to 1930.
