Sources: Mrs. BARNES, ROBERT 1869 - OCT. 7, 1937. NO STONE Robert Barnes and Sallie Grizzle probably married in Walker Co. , Alabama in Cordova. He was born about 1869. He may have been born in Cowen, Franklin Co., Tennessee. The family moved to Huntsville in 1925. They had four daughters: Viola, married Gold, Lillie Mae, Mabel, Lela Belle, and a son Reuben Barnes. NO STONE BARRETT, VIRGIE, 1880 - 1933. (ROW 12) Granville Barrett was from Tennessee. He and Virginia Bryson married in Cannon Co., Tennessee, in 1900. Virgie's parents were Andrew J. and Emily Bryson who married about 1876. Emily's parents were from North Carolina. Granville and Virgie had four children before 1920: Bulah who married Adam Bragg and died in 1925, Dewey L., who married Nellie Adkin, James A., and Lana M. (Mamie) Barrett who married Carl Stone. All were born in Tennessee. Bulah and Mamie are buried in Merrimack Cemetery. Granville was struck by a car at 8th and A Street and died shortly after on Friday, September 4, 1942. At the time of his death he had a brother, Jim Barrett, in Woodbury, Tennessee. Virgie had died in 1933. Sources: Adam Bragg, Jr. Oscie Cloud. ND STONE Mabel Jeanetta was a daughter of Geda E. and Pearl (Harrison) Baucom. When she was thirteen years old her clothing caught fire as she was caring for a neighbor's baby. She died the next day. She had a brother, William, and two sisters, Hazel and Nellie. In 1914, the family lived in Lindale, Georgia. Geda E. was born Feb. 8, 1886, in Tennessee and died Apr. 27, 1926, and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery. Pearl (Harrison) Baucom was born 3 Jan. 3, 1896, in Alabama and died in the first week of Dec. 1970. She is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery.
