Source: Marie Jones Bibles. BIBLES, NELSON N. 1936. (ROW 4, BUT STONE IS UNDER TREE ON ROW 8 FOR PROTECTION) Nelson, born and died Feb. 23, 1936, was infant of Arthur and Marie (Jones) Bibles. Arthur was son of Walter and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Baker) Bibles of Grundy Co., Tennessee. Marie was daughter of Nelson G. and Agnes (Handy) Jones of Tracy City, Grundy Co., Tennessee. Nelson Jones was a tax collector for Grundy Co.. Marie was born in 1909, graduated from high school and moved as a young woman to Merrimack, Madison Co. , Alabama, and worked in the office of Merrimack Manufacturing Co. She had an uncle, George Handy, who lived there. Arthur and Marie Jones married Feb. 20, 1932, in Madison Co., Alabama. They became the parents of two children, Melrose and Nelson. Melrose married James A. Coleman, Jr. and Nelson N. , their second child. On July 10, 1972, Marie Bibles married Noble Van Graham in Madison Co., Alabama. BING, BERTHA, NOV. 29, 1908 - AUG. 18, 1909. (ROW 27) Compiler found two Bing families in the time of this baby's birth and death. One is Edward Bing who brought Charles Bing, a teenager to Merrimack Mfg. Co. to apply for a job in July, 1909. That family was from Hollis Springs, Mississippi. Another family was that of James T. Bing in 1910 Census, Madison Co. James, was born about 1850, in Georgia. He and his wife Genervia had five children in the home, Cora, 22. Ernest, 17, Nellie 14, Howard, 9, and Pearl (married a Hall). No relationship to Bertha is found. Sources: Children of Industrial Huntsyille. NO STONE BIRMINGHAM, WILLIAM, DIED JULY 14, 1920. NO STONE Claude Birmingham, born about 1884, was a son of William and Minnie Birmingham. He was born in Lincoln Co., Tennessee. On June 9, 1916, he married Tennie Smithey. On Feb. 15, 1919, he married Cresey May. He married Lilly M. Ashby in Madison Co., Alabama on Aug. 3, 1929. At the time of his death he had been a nurseryman in Madison Co. but was a resident of Albertville, Marshall Co., Alabama. He was survived by a step-son, James Birmingham and his brothers Wade, Hubert and Jasper and his sisters Mattie Gann and Elamae Tucker. Minnie Ricketts was the wife of William Birmingham. They probably married in Franklin Co., Tennessee. Claude, Wade married Elamae Tucker), Jasper, Hubert, Belle, who married Joe Tucker Dec. 2, 1916, and Mattie, who married a Gann were their children. 18 - (1322)
