CLOUD, JAMES, DIED OCT. 20, 1909. NO STONE Obituary says "Aged citizen, James Cloud of A St. died. Remains buried in Merrimack Cemetery. yesterday" (Oct. 21). Item in Weekly Mercury, Merrimack section, pub. Oct. 27, 1909. In I860 Census, New Hope, p. 109, line 20 & p. 110, line 1, D. N. Cloud, age 40 and wife. Frances had a son James age 14. Born about. 1846, he would have been 63 in 1909. An aged man by 1909 terms. No proof this is the same person. COBB, CHARLOTTE, DEC. 13, 1855 - OCT. 25, 1909 WIFE OF A. J. COBB. (ROW 29) Charlotte S. Worley married Andrew J. Cobb on May 2, 1878, in Madison Co., Alabama. Charlotte's father was N. C. Worley, who was a teacher. They were neighbors of the Cobb family in 1860. Other children of N. C. born before 1860, were Allison (male), June, Henry and Mary. Charlotte and Andrew were parents of Lena, John B., Newton A. , Richard G. , Grade M. , and Lilly E. Cobb, and two others. The family came from Law, Alabama about 1907. Andrew was a farmer while other members of the family were employed by Merrimack Mfg. Co. Andrew was a son of Adams and Nancy Cobb. Other children of Adama and Nancy born before 1860, were John, Mary, and Jesse Cobb. A. J. Cobb married Margaret Ellen Bragg on May 13, 1911, in Madison Co., Alabama. He was 53 and Margaret was 40 at the time of marriage. In 1922 Andrew and Margaret (Maggie) lived on Sth Ave., Lowe Mill where he ran a grocery store. COBBLE, DURELL, APR. 5, 1924 - MAR. 19, 1925. (ROW 36) COBBLE, GRACIE VAUGHN. NO STONE This was a child of Lee Coble and his first wife, Grade H. (Vaughn) Cobble. Family lore says Lee told that his first wife and baby died and were buried in Merrimack. Grade, born about 1899, was from Alabama, while Lee was born in Tennessee about 1890. Lee and Gracie married June 10, 1917, in Madison Co., Alabama. Gracie was 18 and Lee was 29 at the time of marriage. Lee married Cythia Langford on July 10,1926. Source: John Cobble. (ROW 1) James Albert Collett was the fourth child of James Everett and Ruby (Esslinger) Collett. Their other children were Joyce, Jerry, Edith, Tommy, Leroy, Eugene, Margaret Ann, Nancy, Harold Ray, Fred and Paul Wayne Collett. Ruby was a daughter of Edith and John Esslinger. John 29 - (1335)
