Esslinger was a grocery salesman. Edith had first married a Clark. Her daughter Frances Clark married Grover Griffin who is buried in Merrimack. Morley Collett, of Lincoln Co., Tennessee, was father of James Everett Collett. James Everett Collett was born July 26, 1910, he died in Dec. 1982. His first wife died young leaving him with a small daughter. He married Martha Elizabeth Tenpenney who was widowed with three children. Marion and Martha had four children, Mary Frances, Lola, Melvin and Alvin Collins. Mary Frances married Hobert Wood in Woodbury, Tennessee and had four daughters, Sarah, Shirley, Carlene and Evelyn Wood. Hobert Wood is buried in Merrimack Cemetery. Source: Carlene Wood. COOK, CHARLEY, 1885 - 1939. (ROW 3) COOK, FLOSSIE, FEB. 1, 1907- JULY 29, 1908. (ROW 15) Charley Cook was born Oct. 21, 1885, in Limestone Co., Alabama. He died Dec. 22, 1939, in Madison Co. at the age of fifty-four. He married Jennie Taylor on Feb. 2, 1906, in Limestone Co. Alabama. Flossie was their first baby. Charley was son of George W. and Callie (Simpson) Cook of Limestone Co., Alabama. His father was killed in an accident in Whitt's Cotton Gin, Giles Co., Tennessee in November 1897, just a few months before the birth of the couple's 10th child. Callie married Newton Henley/Hendley 13 Apr. 1907, in Madison Co. She farmed in Hazel Green, Madison Co., Alabama in 1900, and the ten children were in the home. They were Sarah A. , born 1881, Donia W., born 1883, Charley C., born Oct. 1885, Lula Maude, born 1887, Cynthia V. , born 1889, Iso L., born 1891, Edward S. , born 1892, Tenny N. , born 1895, George W. , born 1896 and Robert F., born Feb. 1898. Street, Merrimack Village. She was age 28, said she had married twice, had 5 children, 4 children lived. Four children were listed, all with last name of Copus. They were Walter D. (Dewey), Paralee (changed to Earl), Buford S. (Buford Shelley) and William T. (Thomas). Also listed were sisters Rosa and Emma Copus and brother John Copus. Rosa and Emma were spinners in Merrimack Mfg. Co. John was aged 9, too young to work. 30 - (1336)
