DUKE, MAMIE, MAR. 18, 1889 - MAR. 10, 1910, WIFE OF DAN DUKE. (ROW 20) DURHAM, CORRINE, D. 14 AUG. 1931, AGE 11 MONTHS. NO STONE Corrine was daughter of George Durham. She died at home after a short illness. George also had two sons, J. D. and Howard Durham. George, also called Pink married May Musgrove 18 Nov. 1922. He was son of Permelia J. Durham of Jackson Co. , Alabama. Compiler believes Permillia was a daughter of James and Sarah Rice who lived in Jackson Co., Alabama, 1880. No proof. May was daughter of Jim Musgrove and Letha Steward. The Musgroves were from Winston Co., Alabama and the Stewards were from Hardin Co., Tennessee. Sources: Mrs. Purvis Moody. (Row 23) Jimmie and Lola were daughters of Permilia J. Durham. She was a widow of Pinckney Durham, and may be a daughter of James and Sarah Rice of Jackson Co., Alabama. The family was from Scottsboro, Jackson Co., Alabama. Some other children of Permelia were Eliza, born 1899, Henry, born 1897, Joe, born 1892, Myrtle, born 1894, and George, called Pink, born 1901. (ROW 35) Thomas B. and Cinderella (Sanders) Newby married on Dec. 13, 1886, in Warren Co., Tennessee. They were the parents of Dora. They moved to Huntsville from McMinnville, Warren Co., Tennessee about 1911. The other children of Tom and Cinderella were Mamie, Houston, Claude, Walt, Ed and Josie Newby. Dora married Alexander Earls, a Tennessee farmer who moved to Huntsville around 1928. They were parents of nine children. Her five sons were John, James, Alec, Thomas and Charlie. EARLS, JAMES, 1934 -1935. (ROW 35) This was a child of Jim and Christine (Patterson) Earls. They married Feb. 13, 1932, in Madison Co., Alabama. Jim was son of Dora Newby and Alexander Earls. Christine's mother was Ida Mefford Patterson who later married a Hymer. Ida Hymer died in Nov. 1941, and is buried in Merrimack Cemetery. 37 - (1343)
