(ROW 30) LEMLEY, GORDON, JR., NOV. 21, 1931 - NOV. 24, 1931. (ROW 22) Gordon Lemley, Jr. was a son of Gordon and Laura (Womack) Lemley. They married Feb. 19, 1927, in Madison Co., Alabama. Laura was said to be 18, Gordon, age 21 at the time of marriage. Gordon and Laura's other children were Sheila and Dorothy. Gordon, Sr. was born Apr. 7, 1906, and he died June 1966, in McMinnville, Warren Co., Tennessee. Laura was born June 29, 1907, in Tennessee, and died Feb. 2, 1988 in Mcminnville, Warren Co., Tennessee. Gordon, Sr. was the son of Peter and Alice (Doggett) Lemley who married Jan. 12, 1904. Alice was daughter of David and Mary J. Doggett of Cloud's Cove, Madison Co., Alabama. Peter married Margaret Vann July 26, 1876. He married Mary Cloud of Cloud's Cove, Madison Co. on Dec. 26, 1894. (ROW 35) “Sallie" Sarah Ann Turner, daughter of William Henry Bynum Turner and Mary Ann Howard, married William Henderson "Hinto" Lemley on Sept. 6, 1878, in Madison Co. Alabama. William H., born in June 1852, died before 1910. Their children were Thomas C., born Dec. 3, 1879, Bessie, born Oct. 9, 1881, Sally J., born July 21,1884, Harry F., born Nov. 10, 1887, Charity and Cherry (twins) born Mar. 6, 1893, Eva J. born 1897, and Mary Bernice. Cherry married Charles Drawhorn and is buried in Merrimack Cemetery. Charity married William James Allen on April 6, 1912, and had a son, Lawrence Allen. Her second husband was William Lindsey Barclay. In 1924, Charity married William Winkles who died May 8, 1947, and is buried in Merrimack Cemetery. 62 - (1368)
