LOCKE, JOHN F., OCT. 4, 1862 - JULY 2, 1918. (ROW 6) LOCKE, SUSIE, SEPT. 14, 1870, OCT. 26, 1929. (ROW 6) Susie Williams, daughter of Richard and Louisa (Stubblefield) Williams, married Robert Preston in Lincoln Co. Tennessee. on Sept. 14, 1890. After Mr. Preston's death Susie Preston and John Locke married March 1, 1905, in Madison Co. Alabama. This was the second marriage for both. They lived in Madison Cross Roads in 1910. Susie had four children by Mr. Preston: Lonnie Rawls, Lilly Viola, Bertha Mae and Robert Preston. Lonnie married Elma Pogue and has two children buried in Merrimack Cemetery, Beatrice and Robert. Lilly Viola married Jesse Ortner and Mae married Jeff Ward. John and Susie Locke had two children, Bessie, born about 1907, and Jesse Floyd, born about 1908. Floyd married Katie Lemley Feb. 2, 1933. He was killed in an automobile accident Mar. 10, 1936 and buried in Maple Hill Cemetery. He and Katie, daughter of Noah Lemley, had one son, Kenneth Locke. Sources: Naomi Mckay. Bess Boyanton Pogue. (ROW 6) Ollie was the wife of John H. Locke. The couple had eight children at the time of Ollie's death. They were Mrs. Elmer Eubanks, Mrs. Ernest Seals, Mrs. Gardner Esslinger, Mary Locke, Gladys Locke, Morris Locke, Gilbert Locke and John H. Locke, Jr. Ollie was daughter of Mrs. Jennie Birmager of Missouri. John Henry Locke was born about 1882, in Blanche, Lincoln Co., Tennessee. He moved to Huntsville about 1923, and was an overseer of the Merrimack Mfg. Co. farm. He then served in the Huntsville Police Force for 13 years. After Ollie's death he married Emma Hall. LOWERY, FLOSSIE MAE, FEB. 1, 1891 - DEC. 21, 1925. (ROW 38) LOWERY, WILLIAM H., JULY 20, 1891 - NOV. 8, 1930. (ROW 38) William Horace was a son of Thomas Hardin and Rebecca (Crossley) Lowery who was from Manchester, Coffee Co., Tennessee. By 1910, Rebecca had died and the family was in Merrimack with a second wife, Emma J. McBride, who married Thomas about 1902. Emma J. and Thomas had five children. William was in the U. S. Army in WWI.. He died from tuberculosis. Flossie Mae Shafer was William's third wife. She was born in Whitesburg, Madison Co., Alabama. She first married Ike Odell April 1, 1912, and had one child, James Odell. Ike died of tuberculosis. Flossie Mae married William Horace Lowery Mar. 29, 1918.
