William Richardson was their first child. The others were James Edgar, John Oliver, Jesse, Walter Hardy, Lyda C. , Paite C. and Lillie V. Marks. Lucy Jane died Aug. 17, 1916. James Richardson died June 7, 1931. Both are buried in Maple Hill Cemetery. Laura Bell was a daughter of Bethel Wheeler and Mary Jane (Chisenall) Wheeler. She was born July 24, 1886, in Jackson Co., Alabama and died Jan. 8, 1964, in Guntersville, Marshall Co., Alabama. Both Laura Bell and William Richardson Marks are buried in Plainview Cemetery, Hazel Green, Madison Co., Alabama. The children of William and Laura Marks are Mabie Lucile, born Mar. 20, 1905, Essie Mae born Oct. 3, 1906, Willie Hulen, born July 16, 1909, John Oliver, born Oct. 3, 1911, James Bethel, born Nov. 14, 1913, Edgar Alexander, born Feb. 14, 1916, Ocie Allen, born May 30, 1918, Mary Elizabeth, born Sept., 10, 1920, Lyda Faye, born Nov. 19, 1922, and Lucy Ailen, born Dec. 8, 1924. (ROW 10) John Everett Massey and Margaret A. "Maggie" Smoot married Mar. 30, 1898, in Madison Co. Alabama. John was born in Tennessee and Margaret was born in Alabama. Maggie Smoot was a daughter of Wyatt and Sarah Smoot, who was born in about 1874. The Smoot family was in Morgan Co. , Alabama in 1880. John and "Maggie" had five children: Minnie (married Ernest Parker) , Shelley (married Mr. Bruce) , Lucy E. (died age about 14 years), Lewis E. (buried in Columbus, Georgia) and Elizabeth. Margaret died between 1910, and Nov. 1915. On Nov. 27, 1915, John Everett married Ada Parker of Tallasee, Alabama. Her parents were Charles Parker and Miss Dunnavant. She was born in 1890. Ada and John Everett were parents of Ethel, Evelyn, Trenton, Imogene and John. Imogene married Elmer Hughland Johnson in 1943. They are the parents of Lillie Ann Johnson, buried in Merrimack Cemetery. After John Massey's death Ada married a Mr. Jernigan of Foley, Alabama. She died and is buried in Foley. This was the second marriage for John Everett Massey. His first wife was Margaret Smoot who married him Mar. 30, 1898, in Madison Co., Alabama. Ada and Everett married in Madison Co., Alabama, Nov. 27, 1915. Ada's mother was a Dunnavant. Her father was William Parker of Tallasee, Alabama. After Everett Massey died Ada moved to Foley, Alabama, where she married a Mr. Jernigan and died in Foley. The children of Ada and John were Ethel who married Ernest Potter, Evelyn who married a Davis, Trenton, and Imogene who married Elmer Johnson, and John 66 - (1372)
