Compiler thinks he was a grandson of Newt Ross and Martha (Cannon) McPherson of Lincoln Co. This couple married Dec. 26, 1869. Siblings of Rossie were Bertha and James Robert McPherson. C., JUNE 1, 1868 - JULY 24, 1904. (ROW 8) Rudy was born in Alabama, his parents were born in South Carolina. Rudy Meadows married Frances Cloud, daughter of Durgen and Ellen (Dunn) Cloud Dec. 20, 1891, in Madison Co., Alabama. Rudy and Frances had four children: Nettie, Emma, George and Annis. Nettie married Ed Seals, Mar. 23, 1910, Emma married Ernest Winkles, Oct. 23, 1909, George married Alma Buford Dec. 22, 1920, and Annis married Thomas L. Baker February 19, 1920. Charles and Zelma married in February, 1950, in Madison Co., Alabama. Zelma, born Mar. 1, 1934, in New Market, Alabama, was a daughter of James Floyd and Annie Mae (Judge) Brooks. Charles Meeks was son of Houston and Daisy (Newby) Meeks. Daisy Newby was daughter of Charles and Lula (Weaver) Newby who are both buried in Merrimack Cemetery. Charles was employed in a textile manufacturing company at the time of their marriage. His home was on 7th St, Huntsville. The home of Zelma was on 11th St., Huntsville. Sources: Tombstone. They were parents also of Cecil William, born about 1908, and Herbert, born in 1914. In 1913, and 1914, the family was in Merrimack, Huntsville, Madison Co., Alabama. Fanny had two children by her first marriage, Artis and Pled Bryant, who applied for jobs with Merrimack in those years. In 1920, the family was in Florence, Lauderdale Co., Alabama.
