PRITCHETT, GIRTHA, FEB. 7, 1901 - NOV. 6, 1912. (ROW 29) This little girl was a daughter of Philip Joseph and Rhoda (Payne) Saint Pritchett, who married Aug. 13, 1889. Some of their children were born in Owens Cross Roads, Madison Co. Alabama. Joseph worked in a spoke factory in 1910, and was a teamster with the Merrimack Mfg. Co. in 1920. Rhoda died July 31, 1927. PRITCHETT, JOSEPH A., JUNE 29, 1928 - JAN. 9, 1930, SON OF MR. AND MRS. J. A. PRITCHETT. (ROW 32) Joseph Alma and Bertha (Ward) Pritchett were the parents of this baby. They married July 1, 1922, in Madison Co. Alabama. Joseph Alma, son of Joseph P. and Rhoda (Payne) Saint Pritchett, was born in Owens Cross Road, Madison Co. Alabama, about 1901. Bertha was a daughter of James B. and Amelia E. Ward of McMinnville, Warren Co., Tennessee. The family moved to Huntsville between 1898, and 1901. Sources: Lillian Herrin. PRITCHETT, JOSEPH PHILLIP, DIED JAN. 22, 1940. ND STONE PRITCHETT, RODIE, OCT. 11, 1859 - JULY 31, 1927 WIFE OF JOE. (ROW 29) Rhoda Elizabeth Payne married Joseph Phillip Pritchett, her second husband, Aug. 12, 1889, in Madison Co., Alabama. Their children were Henry, born May 19, 1890, in New Hope, Madison Co., Joseph Alma, Johnie Bell, Josie Lee and Girtha. After Rhoda's death in 1927, Joseph married Carrie Lee Ray on Oct. 13, 1928. It was the second marriage for both. He died of pneumonia in 1940. He was a son of Joseph Pritchett, Sr. Rhoda, was the second daughter of Josiah Poindexter Payne and Martha Clementine Meek, both of Pelham community, Grundy Co., Tennessee. Josiah died in 1933, Martha Clementine died in 1919. Both are buried in Cloud Cemetery, Cloud's Cove, Madison Co. Alabama. Their other children were Nancy Jane, John Porter, Sara A. "Sally", Elizabeth Bell, Sophia Melinda, Joel Sidney, Archie E., Buena Viola, William Richardson Payne, and Rosa Lee Payne. Rhoda's first husband was William Saint whom she married July 30, 1875. Saint, born about 1850, was son of John B. and Catherine (Reneau) possibly of Marshall Co., Alabama. William Saint died before Aug. 1889. Rhoda and William Saint had three children. Their first was Lucinda "Cindy", born Aug. 1879, married a Barnett Feb. 29, 1896, married James Edward Clark, died Apr. 22, 1953. Next was Ethel Mae Saint, born July 1880, in Tennessee, married John Gibbs Nov. 14, 1902. Their third was William Poindexter "Dex" Saint born Jan. 23, 81 - (1387)
