1881. Dex married Gracie Smoot Aug. 25, 1901. They had no children. His second wife was Susannah Rice, daughter of William Turner and Eliza Jane (Paseur) Rice. Susannah had previously been married to a Mr. King. Dex and Susannah's children were Hubert, Henry T., Clemmie Elizabeth, Joe Bill, and Emma Saint. Dex Saint died Jan. 5, 1952. PULLIAM, HENRY W., APR. 8, 1923 - AUG. 2, 1925. (ROW 23) Elmer and Myrtle (McGee) Pulliam were the parents of Henry. He died of blocked bowels. Elmer was born in Etowah Co., Alabama, about 1891. His parents were Green and Lena Pulliam. Myrtle was born in McGee Hollow, Lincoln Co., Tennessee, in May 1895. Her parents were Wesley and Jennie (Pitts) McGee. Myrtle and Elmer met through family members. They married November 22, 1913 in, Merrimack, Madison Co., Alabama. At that time Elmer worked for the railroad in Decatur where the couple lived for a few years. Blount Co. was their home before moving to Merrimack. QUILLIN, MAMIE, AGE 18 YEARS, NO DATE. (Row 29) Mamie was a daughter of Thomas Quillin and Emma (Mitchell) Quillin. They married Mar. 22, 1895, in Madison Co., Alabama. She died after January, 1920, of tuberculosis. She was age 18 in 1920. Emma, her mother, was born in Mar. 1875, and died between 1917, and 1920. Thomas Quillin was born in Jan. 1876. Both were born in Alabama. Other children of Thomas and Emma were Ellis J., Homer L, Odis S., Ozie M, Leone, and Lloyd. Sources: Mary Winkler Quillin. (ROW 17) Houston L. and Martha Ransom married about 1875. Both were born in Alabama. In 1910, Mr. Ransom was a card grinder with Merrimack Mfg. Company. At that time Martha had given birth to ten children, seven lived. Three were living with the parents in 1910. They were Albert R, born about 1890, Annie, born about 1891, and Gertie, born about 1892. The children worked in the mill. Albert and his wife Leona married about 1912, and had three children by 1920: Ola, born about 1913, Jessie, born about 1915, and Esther, born about 1917.
