John, son of Simon Fate and Maggie (Hill) Russell, and Margaret (Green) Russell were parents of Fred Gene. Other children of John and Margaret were Bennie, Dianne, and Phyllis Kay Russell.
John and Margaret moved to Nashville, Tennessee.

Maggie Hill and Simon Fate Russell married Dec. 25, 1911, in Madison Co., Alabama.
She was born in Coffee Co., Tennessee, a daughter of William J. Hill. Maggie and Fate had five children, Eller May, John D. , Bessie, Billy and Helen Russell.
Simon Fate (Lafayette) Russell was a son of Amanda Morgan and Columbus Russell of Bradley Co., Tennessee.

John Russell and Mattie (Byser) Russell were the parents of these children. They married May 22, 1910, in Madison Co.,
Alabama.
John was a son of Amanda (Morgan) and Columbus Russell. Mattie was daughter of Mary Elizabeth Whitely who is also buried in Merrimack Cemetery.
Other children of John and Mattie are Nellie, Margaret and Henry. Nellie married Clarence McAnelly, Margaret married Lester Gordon Westbrook. Henry died May 11, 1924, and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery.

SAINT, WILLIAM, B. ABOUT 1850. NO STONE
Rhoda Payne married William Saint on 30 July 1875, in Madison Co. Alabama. Saint, born about 1850, was son of John B. and Catherine (Reneau) possibly of Marshall Co., Alabama. William Saint died before 1910, and is believed to be buried in Merrimack Cemetery.
Rhoda and William Saint had three children. Their first was Lucinda "Cindy", born Aug. 1879, married a Barnett Feb. 29, 1896, married James Edward Clark, died Apr. 22, 1953. Next was Ethel
Mae Saint, born July 1880, in Tennessee, married John Gibbs Nov. 14, 1902.
Their third was William Poindexter "Dex" Saint born Jan. 23, 1881. Dex married Gracie Smoot Aug. 25, 1901. They had no children. His second wife was Susannah Rice, daughter of William Turner and Eliza Jane (Paseur) Rice. Susannah had previously been married to a Mr. King. Dex and Susannah's children were Hubert, Henry T., Clemmie Elizabeth, Joe Bill, and Emma Saint. Dex Saint died Jan. 5, 1952. Susannah ( Rice) Saint died Dec. 23, 1971.
