(ROW 5) Paul Steadman, born about 1888 in Georgia was a section hand with Merrimack Manufacturing Company in 1920. He and his wife, Minnie M. were the parents of Laura Agnes, and Earl P. They had other children in 1920, Ola M., a girl, and Arlie P. a son. Minnie was born in Tennessee. In 1920, Alice M. Jones, a widow, age 55, was Minnie's mother living in the Steadman home. Alice Jones was born in Illinois. In 1931, Arlie Steadman was a student, Ola M., was a weaver in Merrimack Mfg. Co. Both lived with their parents at 125 Triana Pike. (ROW 8) This little boy was first son of Dio L. and Hettie (Sartain) Stephenson. They married in Madison Co. Alabama, Nov. 7, 1914. Dio and Hettie had another son, born in 1919, Samuel Lawrence. In 1910, Dio was the youngest child in the home of Daniel Stephenson in Merrimack, Madison Co., Alabama. The family had moved from Shelbyville, Bedford Co., Tennessee. Other children in the home were Nora E., Sullie, Vera, Emma, and Henry. Daniel's wife was not living at the time. Hettie was born about 1896, in Wartrace, Bedford Co., Tennessee. Her father was Robert D. Sartain. Her mother was Martha (Mattie) Banks Sartain. Dio and Hettie divorced. Later Dio married Etoile Barton, daughter of P. D. and Ellen Barton. Dio and Etoile had four children, one died in infancy and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, as are Dio and Etoile. Sources: Movolene Stephenson White ( Mrs. Ralph). (ROW 18) STONE, CARL, NOV. 6, 1897 - FEB. 15, 1947. Funeral Marker. (ROW 12) STONE, MAMIE M., 1912 -1933. (ROW 12) Mamie Barrett Stone died in March, 1933. On May 10, 1930, she married Carl Stone. Mamie was a daughter of Granville and Virginia "Virgie" (Bryson) Barrett from Cannon Co., Tennessee. Virgie and Granville Barrett are buried in Merrimack Cemetery. 94 - (1400)
