Carl was son of John Ft. and Janie (Strong) Stone. Carl and Mamie's only children were twin sons, Raymond and Neymond, born about May 1932. When they were nine months old Mamie was feeding the babies in front of the fire when her clothing caught fire and she died of her burns. Carl's mother, Janie (Strong) Stone reared the children. (ROW 18) Thomas Harvel and Lillie Mae (Crews) Story married Jan. 17, 1920, and were parents of this baby, William Harvel Story. He was their first child. Their other children were Thomas Odell, born 1924, and Geneva Story, born 1928. In the 1930s, Thomas and Mae divorced and Mr. Story moved to Guntersville where he died. He is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery as is his son, Thomas Odell Story. The Story family was from Jackson Co., Alabama. Thomas Harvel was son of A. B. Story and Mrs. Carrie Rice Story. Mr. Rice was her first husband. Lillie Mae was a daughter of Lizzie and Will Crews. Lizzie and Will were parents of Tommy, Lee (married Wheeler Chamblis), Lillie Mae, Robert and Burley Crews. Lizzie, Burley and Robert Crews and Lee Crews Chamblies are buried in Merrimack Cemetery. After the death of Lizzie Crews her husband Will moved to Granada, Mississippi where he died and is buried. Mae married James Frank Singleton after divorcing Mr. Story. She had one son, Roy, in this marriage. He was born about 1936. Sources: Geneva Story Brown. Marriage record, Vol. 45, p. 499. SWEETON, SALLIE, died after 1931. NO STONE Sallie Lusk, born about 1878, married a Mr. Sweeton in Tennessee. She moved to Merrimack after the death of her husband. City Directories show she was a widow of I. D. Sweeton or Britton Sweeton. In Grundy Co., Tennessee, there was a Britton Sweeton, born 1874, who was a son of Thomas and Caroline (Davis) Sweeton. In 1920, Sallie Sweeton was in the home of Rosie and William King. Rosie was her neice. She was also aunt of Innis and Finis Johnson who worked in Merrimack Mfg. Co. (ROW 42) TAYLOR, DORINDA, NO DATES. STONE MISSING. (ROW 42) Delila Mulligan married James Argo Taylor Dec. 31, 1905, in Liberty, Warren Co., Tennessee. They had six children. Virgil, Hallie, Willie, Ethel, Jack and Alvie. Some of the children were born in Liberty, Tennessee. One, Dorinda Taylor, died young and is buried in Merrimack Cemetery. 95 - (1401)
