(ROW 2) Susie was the wife of Rufus Tucker. They married about 1868, and moved to Huntsville in 1897. In 1880, the family lived in Lincoln Co., Tennessee. At that time there were two children in the home: Robert and Sanford. In 1900, they had had nine children, five lived. Three were in the home: Robert, born June 1877, Ora born Dec. 1881, and Stella, born Feb. 1884. At her death, Susie was survived by three daughters: Mrs. Charles Johnson of Decatur, Mrs. Maude Barronco of Birmingham, and Mrs. T. L. Wilder of Huntsville, and one son Bob Tucker, of Huntsville. TURNER, JESSIE LEE, NO DATES ON STONE. (ROW 36) There is a Jessie Turner in Children of Industrial Huntsville. Compiler does not know gender of Jessie. She/he was born September 17, 1894, in Laurence Cove P. 0., Alabama. the parent listed was Lucy Turner. Also listed is Matthews Turner, born Sept. 5, 1895, with same parent,in the same place. (ROW 42) Oscar Vess was the first baby of Dave Elmer and Mary (Burgess) Vess who married Mar. 15, 1924, in Madison Co., Alabama. Mary was daughter of Albert H. Burgess. Both Mary and Dave were from Arab, Alabama. Five children born to Dave and Mary lived to adulthood. They were Dorothy, Marie, Wallace, Theresa and David. David died Oct. 25, 1996. These babies, J. E. and a tiny girl did not live long after birth. Mary Vess died in 1982, after Dave’s death. They are both buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville. Sources: Mrs. Wallace Vess.
