Isaiah Vines, grandfather of John Lafayette was born in 1755, in Anson Co., North Carolina, but he died in 1820 in Elbert Co., Georgia. John married Sara Frances Rollins in Randolph Co., Alabama on July 27, 1884. They moved to Huntsville about 1908. She married Solomon Vines, a son of John and Sarah R. Vines, on July 15, 1916. He was born in Alabama about 1895. They were parents of three children. (ROW 8) Hubert Edward, Jr. was the son of Hubert and Irene (Lemley) Walker. Edward died of pneumonia before he reached his second birthday. Irene was a daughter of Mattie (McMinn) and Walter Lemley of Madison Co., Alabama. Mattie was a daughter of George Washington and Sarah Jane (Stewart) McMinn of Mississippi. Walter Lemley was a son of Hiram Clifton and Sarah Catherine (Hunt) Lemley. Hubert Walker was born in Lincoln Co., Tennessee, son of Melvin and Patty (Page) Walker. To his second marriage to Irene Lemley he brought his son Frank, and Irene brought her son, Rufus Lemley. Hubert and Irene had Hubert Edward, William Thomas, Edna and Thelma Fay Walker. (ROW 4) Eunice and Elizabeth (Hughes) Walker were the parents of Laura Eugina. The tombstone reads "Eucina" but the inscription calls her Jean. People who knew her remembers how she loved to sing. She died April 29, 1937. Mildred, Doris and Wilma Walker were sisters of Laura at the time of her death. Eunice was son of Melvin and Patty (Page) Walker of Lincoln County, Tennessee.
