The transitions of land ownership in that section are further documented in the INDEX TO LANDS prepared by G. W. Jones & Sons, Inc.: The INDEX shows that Auld transferred title to the land in 1836 to B. C. Lanier (and his brothers, Isaac and William). Part of that land was transferred to Robert Wilson in 1856 as a result of bankruptcy of Burwell Clinton Lanier. Laura Lanier sold some of the land to Carrie and Kate McCalley in 1896, and Ada E. Lanier transferred more of the NW/4 to Milton H. Lanier in 1908. Milton H. Lanier sold land in the NW/4 of Section 5 to Moses Love in 1914, the year that Moses recorded his marriage. There were apparently two Milton H. Laniers in the area during the same 29 - (1929)
