Moore - Landman Cemetery, 46-1 Summary Report, page 12

This 1830 Madison County AL census page shows landowners who were living on what is now arsenal property. Among the names on this page are George Moore and James Landman (written as “Lanman”, phonetically). George Moore is shown as a single man (no wife, no children) in the 20 - 30 years old age bracket. James Landman is shown as 30 - 40 years old, with another male of that age range living in his household. His wife appears in the 20 - 30 age bracket. They have 2 male children and 1 female child in the 0 - 5 age bracket. Neighbors of note include Abraham Bransford, Richard Jamar, Harrison Owens, Thomas J. Owens, Jason L. Jordan, James Hatton, George H. Fennell, and William Lanier. Many of these neighbors are addressed in the Summary Reports for other arsenal cemeteries, and Abram Bransford and the Hatton surname will be further mentioned in this Summary Report. The slave page of the 1830 census shows the number of slaves that these pioneer landowners held. Note that George Moore had no slaves in his total household of 1 (himself): 12 - (1943)
