As for the burials evidenced by tombstones in the cemetery at the junction of Martin Road with Mills Road, they include only Corporal Joseph Beasley, Mary Lightford, and Silla Moore. These are names found on the only inscribed tombstones in the cemetery today.

There was only one possible match found for “Silla” Moore in Madison County marriage records per the on-line index of the Madison County Records Center web pages. Joe Moore took out a license to marry “Scilla” Pope (both noted as “Colored”) on 16 February 1901, per Marriage Book Volume 26, page 401. With that information, Joe and “Cilla” Moore were found in the 1920 census as shown below:
