This image from Margaret Cowart's book of original landowners in Madison County shows that the majority (east of the old Chickasaw Indian Boundary Line) of Section 11 was initially purchased from the government in 1811 by the heirs of John Turner. A small portion of Section 11 (57 acres) was purchased by Alexander G. Wall as an assignee of someone else in 1831. Research into the family of Alexander G. Wall has shown a close connection to the family of John Turner, as discussed in the Summary Report of the Lacy Cemetery, 75-1, which is nearby, to the southeast about a mile away. 4 - (2566)
